The space
Our new cleaning guidance. This includes the following, and much more:
Allowing additional time for the cleaning to take place. Hence temporary altered check in/out times, until further notice, but we hope you understand that it is for the safety of you, and our housekeepers.
We are using appropriate PPE for cleaning the property.
Taking high-risk/high-touch items temporarily out of the property. This includes items such as board games and DVDs, ornaments, books, additional crockery and cutlery, bed throws and cushions.
Deploying extra hygiene measures, such as cleaning and disinfecting high contact areas of a property, such a door handles etc.

Coedfa is a Grand Gentleman's Residence full of character and original charm.
The main house has 4 large double bedrooms. Coedfa Bach sleeps 4 which was traditionally the servants quarters in the Victorian times (part of the 'bell system' remains).

The living room is a pleasant space with 2 large windows overlooking the 3/4 of mixed lawned garden and woodland. High beamed ceiling and an original wooden panelled wall. Wonderful views of the Lledr Valley and the river. The living room has its original slate floors and an inglenook fireplace. Facing South and South Westerly. Woodburner (seasoned logs provided at an extra charge) TV, DVD, Radio, (Books/DVD/CD/Ornaments/decorative cushions are temporary stored to avoid spread of virus). Piano (not tuned but playing)

Hall way has high ceilings and a bell systems which remains from the Victorian times when the cottage was used as a servants quarter.

The kitchen is traditional with a granite work surface. Washer/dryer. Electric Cooker with gas tops. "Porcelain" sink. Coffee maker, Box Freezer, Fridge, microwave.

Original Slate floors and traditional stone/slate fireplace (feature) and Slate beam revealed in kitchen. A traditional belfast sink with brass taps, granite work surface. Washer/dryer. Fridge, Freezer, Oven and hob. Oak table for 4 persons. Large window with original slate window cill.

Toilet and hand basin downstairs with original slate floors.

2 bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor. Traditional wooden floors.
Main double bedroom has an original cast iron 4 poster bed, vaulted ceilings and beams with a feature fireplace. Beautiful views of the lawned/terrace garden and views of the Lledr valley.

Twin bedroom has original wooden floors, feature fireplace and beamed ceiling. Original window with exposed wooden cill. Cute and quirky!

Included is FREE use of the leisure facilities at the nearby Waterloo Hotel (approx 5 min walk with pavement and lighting )swimming pool, sauna, steam, jacuzzi and gym. Currently open and has a booking system in place due to Covid.

The interesting Victorian terrace garden is approx 3/4 acre with a mix of lawned areas, woodland, high terrace walls, stone steps (which can be slippery when wet) stream.

Coedfa Bach has been running as a holiday cottage since 2001.

Hi my name is Beth Evans. My husband and I have owned Coedfa House and cottage since the year 2000. We took several years to refurbish and enjoyed living at the property for 5 years. Having our wedding party at the property as well as our youngest son born at Coedfa bring very special memories to us both. Coedfa Bach sleeps 4 has been a holiday cottage for the 20 years and Coedfa House sleeps 8 has been a holiday house for 15 years. Coedfa is a Victorian Property know as an Estate house in its time. Having a walled garden to the back of the property which was behind an outbuilding which is now a pretty cottage. The woodland for several miles towards Pentrefoelas was owned by Coedfa. Now Coedfa has a 3/4 acre garden which lies to either side of the property and a large gravelled yard to the front. The house is specious with large rooms and heigh ceilings. Cottage quaint and charming. Coedfa looks down onto the Thomas Telford, Waterloo Bridge and is a short walk to the village centre
