There is absolutely no smoking, even on wooded trails. No climbing or digging on the Cliffs as it is extremely dangerous. My home is not directly on the Cliffs as deep erosion has occurred leaving other Cliff Homes sliding off while you sleep. So no problem here. The best night's sleep you'll ever have.
Quiet is maintained here at night but you are welcomed to my deck for teleworking, cocktail parties, meetings, oyster roasts, crab feasts and romance and especially my double wide rope hammock.
Your wee ones may like to snuggle there too but please, not without you. Blankets abound. A sea of stars are visible here as there is little light pollution. This is the perfect place to propose. The beach at low tide go for miles. The Cliffs have stairways that avail a view across the Bay for 7 miles to the little Choptank River to the east. You will have access to all of the beach as it is privately owned by myself and other Scientists Cliffs members.
There is a wood stocked woodstove downstairs and a fireplace that spans two rooms upstairs to keep you cozy. Please ask for instructions before using these during the cooler months. Please.
No cats. Dogs are allowed IFF their nails are clipped and they are flea-dipped.
You may cook on my grill. A new refrigerator, toaster oven, coffeemaker, microwave for downstairs guests. Mine is forever full! In thecwinter, my deck provides a great fridge and seating area for over 12 additional guests.
Please come with a maximum of three cars. Added parking is beside historic tobacco barn at head of Aspen Road on the way to my home and behind bamboo stand nead driveway.
Check out by NOON please. Leave a clean kitchen please. There is one on each floor. If you prefer to stay the day at the beach following your check out, please set this up with me in advance.

Terry's house offered two comfortable bedrooms and two separate baths in a shared house (she has regular tenants who use the first level on weekends). Rustic but cozy, the house is a short walk to some stairs that go down to an unspoiled, uncrowded beach. You can't see the water or beach from the house but the walk there is pleasant and the community of 1960s-vintage houses in Scientists' Cliffs is very peaceful and friendly. A relaxing stay in a wooded setting with flowers and birds.

Terry was the best host we ever had. She immediately became a friend. She went above and beyond in ways that I don't want to specifically mention because I don't want her to be beholden to those specific things for future guests. The house and neighborhood are extremely unique and you would not be able to experience it unless you either live there, or stay with Terry. My wife and I had one of the best short weekend vacations we've ever had thanks to Terry and hew wonderful home. Thank you!

Wow! What an incredible stay! Even though we reserved last minute, Terry went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about the area, kindhearted and an amazing cook!

Terry was a charming hostess. The breakfasts were excellent. There was nearby access to the beach, water sports, hiking and local events and restaurants. It was a quick trip to Solomon's Island.

When we first arrived, the immediate area was under a tornado warning. Our GPS didn't take us directly to the spot and we passed by and had to turn around. Unfortunately the circular driveway was easiest to enter from only one direction which was not the direction in which we were headed after our U-turn. Even though the weather was horrible and we had difficulty parking, Terry greeted us warmly and rushed us into the house to a safe area. She monitored the weather until it was safe for us to return to our car and unload. The weather cleared and was wonderful for the remainder of our visit. Our room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious. Terry gave us the name of a wonderful restaurant that is close-by. It had the best crab cakes we've had. While staying with Terry, we enjoyed fossil hunting, wildlife photography, hiking local trails, and kayaking on the Patuxent River. It was a much needed, relaxing get-away.

We spent 5 days at Terry's house late June and we had a fantastic time. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, the nature all around. It's a bird lovers paradise. Our daughter also had a blast searching for fossiles on the beach. Terry has been a fantastic host, giving us a lot of great recommendations, ideas of activities or informations about current events in the area. Cherry on top: Terry could accommodate our gluten free, dairy free diet without a hitch ( and her breakfast were really tasty! ) We had a wonderful experience and would come back again in a heartbeat!

Retired science teacher who has circumnavigated 24 countries about the world by sailboat. Avid reef diver and sailor. Enjoys fossil hunting the beach.
Favorite places were French Polynesia, Argentina, Nova Scotia, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, New Zealand, Malaysia, Palau, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. I now race hot smaller yachts in Solomons on Wednesdays.
I live on the premises and love to cook foreign specialties in Thai, Indian, French, Southern MD and Italian cuisine.
Even though I am a serious yacht and dinghy racer, I emphasize relaxation for my guests. I can provide cooking lessons, massage, yoga, stretching, breathing and meditation techniques. I also provide a double ocean kayak which will accommodate a young child as well. Life preservers are provided.
I also have a younger partner, Mark Gyorgy, who is the race governor for Southern Maryland sailing Association, who can teach sailing on his Tartan racing Wicked Good or Buccaneer, Kick 'em Jenny. Each of us have over 50 years of boating experience.
A healthy lifestyle starts within the first minute you arrive at my home. You will feel you have shed worries and pounds within a day's time. My home provides the perfect respite for a telework. Many have had corporate meetings, reunions and retreats here.

Wouldn't life be great if we spent a little of every day truly living it?? You can definitely do it here!

My motto: "Do something every day that scares you just a little!
