Alonso's places is great for those who want a solid, clean space. His caretaker was very responsive and polite. It's a trek up the hill, but you get quite and view for your efforts

Alonso's place was nice, don't expect luxuries, it's a simple, very well equipped apartment. To get to the apartment you need to go on a 2-3 minute uneven pavement steep hill walk from the street you parked if you have a car, so if you have a lot of heavy luggage it can be a bit of a struggle. If you like to walk this will be a perfect place for you; downtown is anout 5-10 minute walk downhill. Make sure you bring WATER because they won't provide. The bed in the main room is bouncy and moves a lot, neighbors can be a bit noisy and there's a lot of construction work happening around the property. The kitchen is very nice, you can find any item needed for cooking. This place will be perfect for a family or a group of friends, there's a big dinning table and a spacious living room to hang, you can also see the ocean from the balcony. The building maintenance guy was nice really helpful, he helped us bring our luggage up and down the hill to our car, we can tell that he takes good care of the building because we saw him twice running during our stay. There's a couple little corner stores down the hill with really friendly people and good product selection. We had a good time overall, at the end we kind of got used to going up and down those hills.

The apartment was in a neighborhood about 5 blocks up the hill from the Malecon. The apartment was the perfect size for 4 people and big enough to have 8 friends over one night for dinner. The balcony had a beautiful view and Jaime was helpful in providing us with what we needed. It is a bit of a trek to the city center, but the price is right and I would stay here again.

This location is perfect if you like views of the ocean and are easy walking distance to the malecon and Los Muertes beach. The corner unit is clean and breezy (suite 6). We never needed to use the fans in the main room and the bedroom fans were perfect to keep cool at night. This is a taste of real Mexico. You will wake to a rooster crowing and the sounds of children playing in the narrow cobbled street below. If you are a traveller who likes to experience a neighbourhood where real people live this is ideal. Jamie the property manager is on site daily and was super helpful with our luggage, calling cabs, and even making local calls for me. I will be back!

We loved staying at the Sunset Inn! Alonso was very responsive, and it was helpful to have the onsite manager around when we had questions. When we ran out of fuel, I emailed Alonso and the canister was replaced within hours! The place is basic, but had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is important to note that though we thoroughly enjoyed the exercise, the place is located on a pretty steep hill. Bring your walking shoes!
