Room in a townhouse

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Some info has been automatically translated.
It is the best location for transportation and sightseeing.
It is a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Station and the bus terminal, and an 8-minute walk to the old town and morning market tourist spots.

We have been running a guest house with family and staff here since 2011.
In the lounge on the ground floor, you can chat with staff and other guests, exchange travel information, and relax like a homestay.

The private room is a tatami mat room that can accommodate 2-3 people. It's also perfect for families.

The space
The guest house building is a typical 90-year-old Takayama building. The building is old, but it is clean.

It is a relatively quiet room because it is in the back of the second floor. There is a large window, so it is bright, and it is 7 tatami mats, so it is comfortable even for 3 people.

Guest access
The kitchen for the cafe and the staff room are available as shared spaces. There is also a space where you can spend time outside of the room, so you can enjoy it with family and friends.

During your stay
There will be staff in the main lounge from 4 pm to 9 pm and 8 am to 10 am, so please ask for travel information or anything you don't understand. If you message us at any other time, we will help you with luggage storage, advance information, and more.

Other things to note
It is an old building built 90 years ago. It is clean because it is properly cleaned, but the age of the building is undeniable in some places. If you understand this and stay with us, I think it will be a wonderful experience.

Where you’ll be

Takayama, Gifu-ken, Japan

There are many restaurants around the inn where you can eat local food, so we provide an original restaurant map.

There is a famous morning market and old town just a 10-minute walk from the inn, and the Miyagawa River that flows through the town is also beautiful. You can stroll through a town with beautiful old houses, and there are many traditional things left, so you can really feel the good old Japan. The Northern Alps and Norikura are also in the suburbs, where you can enjoy hiking and hot springs.

What makes my home unique: Local buildings that have been around since 90 years ago.The lounge has a large, homey atmosphere.Only 2 mins by walk to the Station
I like to spend time with my guests
I was from Tokyo and moved to Takayama in 2011 to start a guest house. I used to work as a tour guide at the front desk and Canada at a hotel in Nagano Prefecture. When I worked at a hotel, I wanted to talk to more guests and provide information for guests to enjoy. Another reason why I moved to Takayama is that I like mountain climbing and hiking, and there are many nice mountains and nature in Takayama. You can also give advice if you want to hike or hike. I know a lot of information about Takayama, so you can come with a no-plan. Sometimes the children are scrolling the lounge. I look forward to seeing you all.
