Inspiration on the Mediterranean The Tani is very well-appointed, her interior offering three comfortable double cabins, with en-suite showers producing hot water, a large stylish saloon, and a kitchen within which it was a joy to prepare a decadent Italian meal. The saloon is bright and spacious, with head clearance of around 7 ft. I am over 6 ft tall and never once felt cramped inside the boat. Abundant light streams in from the many windows, so being inside the boat is pleasant, and there is always something interesting to see of the world outside. The kitchen is large enough to prepare a hearty meal in, and is fitted with a good gas cooker/oven. Outside areas are many, one of which at the rear of the Tani is a stylish cockpit seating ten people in comfort, and where we had a jolly soiree one warm evening with a party of locals. The fly-bridge, at the top of the boat is a vantage point from which to observe the life of the little port go by with a glass of wine in hand. Nets near the bow offer a charming spot for dozing lazily or watching fish skim below the surface of the water. Tani's entertainment system features iBlue software, a clever invention by the boat's owner Marcello, which allows guests to select their preference of multimedia and direct it to their phone, their cabin's television, or to the boat's main speakers. The system will broadcast throughout, meaning we could sit anywhere and enjoy a little Louis Armstrong or Puccini. The Tani also has a fast wifi connection. The location, Porto Arenella, boasts a beach a stone's throw away where to swim in the sea, or to sit by the lapis lazuli Mediterranean and watch spellbound the white sails of yachts shimmering on the horizon and the gigantic cruise ships gliding majestically to the port of Palermo. Buses to the centre of Palermo are a five-minute walk from the Tani, and the bus journey to Stazione Centrale takes 25 minutes. There are markets selling fresh, flavoursome produce, a Carrefour supermarket, a pharmacy, and a pizzeria, La Villetta, all within ten minutes' walk. The pizzas at La Villetta are keenly-priced, authentic, and delicious. During our stay we took up the opportunity to take the Tani for an excursion along the coastline. Captain Marcello, a man of considerable learning, pointed out places of interest along the way, including caves set high up in the cliffs where there are prehistoric paintings to be found. Twice we anchored in the sun-drenched sea and swam about giddily like children, once beneath the ancient cliffs and again in picturesque Mondello bay. By our seventh, and final sunset, we had fallen in love with the Tani, and are already making plans to stay on her again. The hospitality shown to us by Alessia and Marcello was faultless, and described to us the open-hearted generosity of the Panormiti. I can, without any reservations, recommend a stay on the beautiful...

Amazing! We have been very well received by Alessia and Roberta. The boat is beautiful and well maintained. It was much more comfortable than what I had imagined, and the whole experience is worth the while. I definitely intend to go back there when visiting Palermo again.

Alessia est une hôtesse très agréable, accueillante, soucieuse de notre bien être. Le bateau est identique aux photos. Une journée est trop courte. On recommencera.
