Here are some interesting facts about the Brooklyn area! (Courtesy of Wikipedia)

Brooklyn is the most populous of New York City's five boroughs, with nearly 2.6 million residents, and the second-largest in area. Since 1896, Brooklyn has had the same boundaries as Kings County, which is now the most populous county in New York State and the second-most densely populated county in the United States, after New York County (Manhattan).[2] It is also the westernmost county on Long Island.

We loved Bertie's apartment! It worked really well for us as a family of 5. The apartment was really well furnished and very clean (the cleaner even visited while we were there). The neighbourhood is quiet but with lots of nearby places to eat and a great food shop just on the corner

It's a gloriously decorated space, and a real, live in and well loved home. It is full of art that you wish you were cool enough to own, and photos you wish you were cool enough to have taken. Right next to the heart of Park Slope, which was awesome because we have 3 year olds and it is a neighborhood full of kids, and it caters to them and their parents. Only downside was that we were worried our girls would destroy some nice piece of art, but they didn't, so all is well.

This is a very wonderful blend of a comfortable, hi-tech and vibrantly artistic home! We enjoyed our stay there thoroughly.

Bertie's home is a beautiful old Brooklyn brownstone lovingly updated with unique architectural details, a fully equipped kitchen & a private fenced back yard. The neighborhood is fun & family-friendly. Bertie's home is walking distance to the Union Market, Al Di La & Prospect Park. Two thumbs up!

Stayed during Christmas week with two adult couples. Bedrooms were located in separate wings but not so far apart that wouldn't work for a family. Bertie encouraged us to treat the house like a home. Had six people for Christmas dinner and table along with Kitchen worked great. Location was an easy walk to the subway and Prospect Park. Nice comfortable area to watch movies. Contacted Bertie twice for minor non-issues and she was very responsive. We were active at night and mellow during the day and this worked much better than two hotel rooms in Manhattan. Given that we have a relative nearby which was the premise of the trip this will be our go to place in the future. Great stay.

We (me, my wife, and 2 grown kids) had a great stay at Bertie's duplex loft brownstone apartment in Park Slope. While we didn't meet Bertie, she gave us clear directions and information, and was easily available by text, email and phone. The place is wonderful, location is perfect (she provided nice local tips) -- great Air BnB experience, hope to stay again! Nathan Shaffer (visiting from Atlanta, GA)
