This place is amazing - excellent location, quiet and fabulous views from the 2 balconies. The apartment is extremely stylish, comfortable and very well equipped with everything anyone would need for a fantastically relaxing holiday. (We particularly loved the artwork!). The private beach is a real bonus - quiet and secluded, even though it is not sand. The rocks add more interest! The water is amazingly clear and blue - so inviting. I even had to go straight in, in my dress, as soon as we arrived - it was 34 degrees! We avoid flying, so travelled from England, via Eurostar to Marseille and then overnight ferry to Bastia. A brilliant way to travel and see the countryside - two days, but all part of the holiday experience! Although the Bastia taxi driver didn't know where the apartment was, he was really helpful and telephoned Sylvie to find out (can't imagine London taxi drivers doing that!). Jalil, meeting us on arrival to give us the key and show us round, was lovely and very understanding of our poor French! Walking into Bastia is easy (30-40 minutes) or the number 4 bus goes past the door! The small local supermarket has everything you might need - of course the local boulangeries/patisseries are to die for - and fabulous Corse fruit and veg, cheeses, etc. - all within 10 minutes' walk. A car would be useful, to see more of Corsica, but we chose to use public transport instead - easy enough, particularly as a couple, but would be more difficult if children were involved as you generally need to get back into Bastia to then travel on elsewhere. Thank you, Sylvie, for letting us share in this fanastic spot - we loved the bit of Corsica we saw and would certainly want to return! Jeannette and Martin - South West England

We found Sylvie's apartment to be pretty much as we had expected from the website description and good value. It is very spacious for two people and is comfortable, clean and convenient for the local shops. We used the baker across the road as well as a second baker and a greengrocer/deli, both of which are on the way to the Spar supermarket (5 minutes walk away). We had a good and cheap meal at the Hotel Thalassi, which is also a few minutes away on foot, on our first evening (Sunday) as the Spar is closed on Sunday afternoons. There is an allocated parking bay and we found our hire car useful for visiting Bastia as well as exploring the peninsula. The beach in front of the apartment is small and rocky, however there are plenty of others along the coast to the north. We also drove to St Florent and then walked along the coast where there is a string of pretty, sandy beaches only accessible on foot, and many beautiful views. We have no negative comments on the apartment, however be warned that there is a surcharge for bed linen and towels (30 euros).

Absolutely wonderful flat right next to the seaside! The apartment has been decorated with great care and is well-equipped. You can hear the waves at night if you leave the balcony doors open. There are two balconies for you to enjoy views of the sea. A small beach right in front of the house invites for cooling dips in between, other beaches are in walking distance or accessible via Cap Corse (wild and beautiful). Bakery right in front of the house. Would definitely recommend to stay here!

Sylvies apartment is excellent - everything is in place for a beautiful stay at Cap Corse. The kitchen is well equipped - you will find everything you need. Bathroom is modern and nice so is the rest of the apartment. The ocean side view is amazing. We will definitely come back - Thanks Sylvie.

The Sylvie's apartment is one of the best apartments I have ever booked over Airbnb (compering price and location). Although I did not personally meet Sylvie, she was always on the phone and there is a house keeper Jalil who is very helpful. The apartment is on great location, has private beach, although it's a bit rocky we didn't mind because the water is very clean. You have everything you need nearby (beverages and other shops). We have traveled throughout whole island, and we can say that Bastia is the quietest and most elegant town. Some tips: the apartment is not in the village San Matino di Lota, it's in Pietranera. Just as you go out from the port you drive right, out of the town. The apartment, actually the building complex is on the main road, with the security gate, only 5 minutes drive from the Port. If you want to buy supplies in big hipermarket there is one called Toga, just across the Port, on the way to Pietranera, on the very exit of the town Bastia. If you don't want to drive across the Island (although I would highly recommend), there is a beautiful sandy beach just when you go south when you leave Bastia, called Arinella ( with free shower which is pretty rare on the island known for beautiful savage beaches). Anyway, Corsica is one of the most beautiful places you can visit in the world, rich with large amount of sandy beaches, small towns, lovely villages across the island in the mountains, lakes, great woods, camping facilities and hiking tracks. Sylvie's apartment has beautiful location, it's more spacious than it looks on photos, it's very charming with handmade decoration and has absolutely everything you need for your vacation. Highly recommendable to anyone!

We realy had a fantastic stay. The apartment is located only 5 min. with car from center Bastia. Everything we needed, we found in the flat, two nice balconys with a perfect few to the ocean. Bakery and food stores 3 min. to walk. It`s a realy quiet place, no noises from the street at all. The contact to Sylvie was always cleer and friendly. Thanks to Sylvie and the friend who welcomed us at our arriving. We would come back at anytime. Rainer :-)
