  • Magalie is nice - we had our differences but mainly because of lack of communication.
The bed is awesome, slept like a baby. Clean apartment, cool cats.

  • I had a wonderful time staying with Magalie, her home was beautifull and my room was lovely. My stay was very comfortable as the host was very welcoming and inviting. She showed me around so I knew where everything was and was always there to help. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it as well.

  • We stay at Magalie's apartment a week ago, I wish i had a good experience but was the worst.

    • The good: the location is close to all main attractions, and the neighborhood is very nice. The room we stayed was pretty and clean, bed was comfy.

    • The bad:
    - she made it wait to let reply my request, and to enter to the place.
    - HER RUDE ATTITUDE, "I hate wet floors, don't leave water in the floor when you came out of the shower", "My cats are like my babies, I don't want to see them outside the house, if I do, that'll be bad". You don't speak like that to people who's paying you for a service!
    - She was making a lot of noise one morning like wanting to be noticed...

    • The ugly: Her cats are ANNOYING, the bigger cat was outside our room every time we went out of the room, every time! And at night was meowing at our door..

    * CONCLUSION: MOST UNPLEASANT STAY in our Airbnb experience. My husband was even afraid to make any noise. We took the 4th July long weekend to "relax" but we ended up taking care of cats, cleaning bathrooms, tiptoe walking, etc.

    - It felt like staying with the aunt who doesn't want you to touch anything in her house, but WE PAID!. NOT NICE. -

    Response from Magalie:

None of what Itzia is describing really is accurate. First of all, this was a very last reservation and while she is mentioning her 4th of July weekend, well it was mine as well as she was late to my apt so rather than sit at my house having to run errands for a bbq I was invited to, I suggested we meet a little later so I could run errands. So we did. She arrived and I literally did a very quick walk though of my home which is typical for any of my guests since they are renting a room and I live here as well. Otherwise, I was barely home, even stayed the night at a friend's house on Saturday night and got home Sunday morning. And my house was tidy and clean for them upon arrival since I take this very seriously. I actually said they were free to do whatever they wanted around my home since noise was not an issue. As for the comments I made via our walk through, well, as I have already said, I was mentioning things regarding not letting my cats of my front door since they have been let out with previous guests in error which I try ot prevent and since we were sharing the bathroom, I gave them towels to use for the floor and mentioned that it would be nice if they could leave the floors the way the found the room which is not all wet since it really is not sanitary to leave them wet. I have hosted a lot of people and mention things that would make the environment pleasant for not only my guests but for myself. Itzia should never rent a room in any apt and should consider renting the entire place next time when using airbnb if a 5 minute walk through and the presence of pets mentioned or another person is such a big bother to her. And I live here Itzia and I have hard wood floors so it is going to be little noisy but never was I loud or intentionally trying to be loud. I always try to be courteous to all my guests but can only be more cautious renting to guests like you in the future who complain and have nothing better to do do than be negative.

  • It was my first AirBNB experience and I enjoyed it! Magalie was very helpful and accommodating. Moreover, her place is very well located.
    I highly recommend her!

  • Magalie was very nice. She went out of her way to ensure I felt comfortable and lent me skin lotion when I discovered I hadn't packed it! She's attentive but also gives the privacy needed to her guests. And the location is fantastic, cute and very safe.
This was my first experience with Air BNB and it was a good one!

  • Jacqueline is an exceptional host with a nice retreat in West Hollywood. The bed was very comfortable, the location excellent and the apartment was impeccably clean. Convienent walking distance to Melrose and to Santa Monica Blvd.

    September 2012
  • This rating is differ from most because the experience I endured was quite the opposite from what I read in most reviews. Arriving I thought that all would be pleasant, jacqueline helped us with suggestions of restaurants but also informed that the next day we would have to be out of the apartment by 10am through 3 pm due to building inspection. Making my friend and I replan the next day. Following on to other realization, the apartment was not up to standards and cleanliness. Through the week stay, Jacqueline had invited a "friend" to stay in her room for a couple of days while she stayed on the couch after stating that she was going to stay at a friends. My friend and I felt like she was more concerned about her Ill painted white furniture rather than accommodations to better our stay. With all this in mind, the location was convient for the business and traveling.

  • Jackie was inviting and super helpful with information about the city and directions. Would stay her again for sure.
