Beautiful and walkable

Guests say this area is scenic and it’s easy to get around.
Some info has been automatically translated.
'The Artist's Loft' is fully self-contained and has been beautifully restored by Maria and Terry.
It has its own kitchen, bath/shower and w.c.
From our balcony window you can enjoy unique views into Newlyn harbour and the whole of Mounts Bay, including St Michael's Mount.
There's lots to explore in Newlyn, and a leisurely 20 minute stroll along 'The Prom' takes you to the famous Jubilee Pool, another 5 minutes and you've arrived at Penzance Harbour with it's quay-side shops and restaurants.

The space
We are ideally located for The Newlyn School of Art, only a 5 minute walk away and St Ives is only a 20 minute drive.

Parking is on the street, entrance is through the house, but The Loft is self-contained with its own locking entrance door.
Because the loft is at the top of our house there are two flights of traditional stairs, so if stairs are a problems for anyone in your group then we may not be right for you, but if that's not an issue it's well worth it when you see the views.

Other things to note
The breakfast is 'Continental' style and is provided in the room so you won't be disturbed.
The kitchen is equipped with kettle, toaster, cafetiere and hob and each day we will stock it with:
Tea, coffee (ground and instant), orange juice, organic milk, bread and butter, jam and marmalade, cereals, muesli, granola and free range eggs.

Neighbourhood highlights

Newlyn has historically been famous for two things; fish and artists, and this is still evident today.
The award winning Newlyn Art Gallery is close by or you can buy fish, crab and lobster fresh off the boat from the merchants on the dock.
Recent addition to the village is a wonderful independent cinema with a bar and restaurant overlooking the Coombe River.
If you want a great dining experience then try the Tolcarne Inn, where renowned chef Ben Tunicliffe has created a seafood restaurant serving amazing local ales and hosting regular live Jazz nights. There is also Mackerel Sky, a unique small restaurant that gets rave reviews.
A little further afield (though not much), a twenty minute drive will see you at Porthcurno, regarded by many as the most beautiful beach in the country. A twenty minute drive 'up country' and you're in the ever popular St Ives.
There's lots to do and we'll give you some suggestions, but you might just want to sit back with a glass of wine and watch the fishing boats come and go.
