We had an amazing time staying here. The glamping tents are spotless and very private and have been thoughtfully decorated. The bathroom facilities are also very clean. The location is peaceful and beautiful. Each tent had its own seating area and table outside. Sarah is very helpful and welcoming. We went to the neighbours' trattoria down the road for dinner. It was delightful. We cannot recommend it enough: rustic, absolutely delicious and the owners are so friendly and kind.

Carrubella is beautiful. It's an amazing spot, off the beaten track, up high in the hills. It felt such a unique and interesting place to stay and was so peaceful. The views, day and night, were spectacular. Such a magical experience to sleep in a spacious, wonderfully decorated, comfortable tent under the boughs of the olive trees. It was fantastic how peaceful and secluded our tent area felt, even when things got a bit busier at the weekend (we managed to book in over the busiest holiday period of the Italian summer apparently!) our privacy and peace was maintained, with things only getting understandably busier around the communal kitchen area. To wake up each morning to the fresh mountain air and the sounds and smells of nature all around was perfect. The area is crammed with interesting places to hike and swim, the Cavagrande is utterly spectacular, and also a great base for exploring the world famous Baroque towns, especially Noto. We ate and drank consistently amazing food and drink most especially the granitas, the wine and the sea food. For most of our 6 night stay, the kitchen and shower areas were shared only with the dog and the 2 cats (who potter about snoozing in the sun mostly) and just a few other couples who were friendly and international but also intent on their own privacy. Sarah is a brilliant host, she gives great recommendations, and guidance for exploring the local area, and helpfully for us, with our none existent Italian, she speaks great English! She's friendly, helpful and accommodating and always available. I can't recommend Carrubella highly enough, its an unusual and lovely place to stay in Sicily!

Sarah's place is in an amazing location, right up high in the mountains, very close to the Cavagrande at Cassibile. It's also easy to find and not that far from nearby towns. The Cavagrande canyon is well worth the trek down (and back) to, and we had two really delicious meals at Pippo, her neighbour who serves food all day, which was really convenient and very friendly and welcoming.

What a beautiful place to stay! If we are in Sicily again, we will be back - for a bit longer! It's great to wake up and have a coffee under an olive tree and Cavagrande is worth a visit. We also went to have dinner with the locals Sarah suggested, yumm.. The outdoor kitchen is a treat and the bathroom facilities always clean.

As a couple travelling by car we made a reservation the day before for glamping. Sarah made us very welcome to one of her two glamping tents set apart from her house and the small area of tents near to it. There was a padded seat put out for us, under a tree with lovely little coloured solar lights, to spend the evening eating and watching the sun go down in peace. The fresh cool mountain air and birds were lovely. The tent was clean and the large double bed, more like king sized, was really comfortable. We had electricity in our tent for lighting and charging our devices. The WiFi internet was available in the seating area by Sarah's reception which was surrounded by fig, almond and pear trees. The toilets and shower were immaculately clean and homely. Sarah was very friendly and efficient.

Sarah was really lovely and helpful. The communal toilets/showers were really clean and good quality. The glamping was really cute and felt so relaxing. The main reason for staying somewhere this remote is for the incredible canyon - you could not be staying closer and it is really beautiful. It is about a 45 minute steep walk down to the giant rock pools but well worth it. If you are staying for just a few days, I would strongly recommend the local family restaurant for a taste of the true Sicily. Also not too far from Syracuse for a day trip.

Venite a trovarmi, lasciatevi sorprendere.
