Adelaide's Barn is a romantic and luxurious self contained cottage set in the gardens of our charming Heritage Homestead, 'Woodside'. Built in 1877, Woodside is set in 7 acres of park-like grounds. It is one of the oldest homes in Marlborough and is listed with the NZ Historic Places Trust.

The space
Our cottage, Adelaide's Barn is both charming and romantic. It has a delightful en-suite bedroom with high, vaulted ceilings, comfortable, triple aspect lounge with bi-fold windows and french doors to the courtyard, kitchenette and private courtyard for indoor/outdoor living. A generous continental breakfast hamper (including freshly baked bread and croissants, cereals, free range eggs, butter, local preserves, orange juice, tea, coffee etc - topped up daily) is provided for you to prepare and enjoy at your leisure.

Enjoy indoor/outdoor living with doors opening to a secluded, private courtyard for al fresco dining. Beautiful views through the courtyard to our walnut orchard, over hay fields, or the historic homestead's gardens.

The bedroom has a subtle French feel with floor length mirror, high vaulted ceilings and original wide floorboards. It offers a comfortable queen size bed with top quality linen. En-suite is a modern bathroom, fitted with a luxurious shower, underfloor heating and heatpump.

We are located in the quiet rural hamlet of Tuamarina, set in a beautiful valley surrounded by bush clad hills, farmland and vineyards. We are just 15 minutes drive from Picton and the Interislander ferry; 10 minutes easy drive to Blenheim and just 5 minutes drive to the start of the Internationally famous Marlborough Wine trail with over 40 cellar doors within a 20 minute drive.

We live in the main homestead about 20 metres from Adelaide's Barn so always on hand with help or advice if needed, but respectful of guests privacy. We are happy to assist with tour or restaurant bookings. We have two friendly dogs, Paddy (black labrador) and Flynn (Rhodesian Ridgeback) who also love visitors.
