Since I was going to be here for a long while, I wanted to see the apartment first, and Bernard gladly accepted. The studio is small, which is perfect when you live alone and don’t want roommates, or spend 4h cleaning every week, and you can even have someone over, as there is a second bed.
Bernard made sure that I settled alright, and when I realized the TV wasn't working, he had a technician come in the next day! There is a balcony with two windowed doors, perfect for when the weather gets warmer; the kitchen is fully equipped with hot plates, fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, enough cutlery, pots and pans…
The building is rather calm, although the studio is located in a lively neighborhood, in the heart of Manhattan! That’s a big plus, because I can walk everywhere. (Who can say they walk to work every single day in NYC? :) )
Wi-fi, cable and utilities are included, but I didn't even need to turn on the heater once since it is very warm. There is no washer and dryer, but there are 3 places less than 2 blocks from here, that also do delivery. Several supermarkets are also 2 blocks away, as well as a movie theater and access to the subway.
Bernard and the property manager are always available for any question or concern; overall, I am really happy with the studio and would gladly recommend it or any other place or studio that Bernard has!
