The space
Welcome to Casa Lusia!
For the greater comfort of our guests, we have installed new thermal/acoustic windows 🪟 in Casa Luisa.
The Villa entrance is located in a quiet square with a family-friendly neighbourhood. It is close to the great white sand beach, Meia-Praia, supermarkets in front, several restaurants (typical Algarve and Portuguese food, Seafood, Italian/pizzas…, etc.), the main avenue along the river, and Lagos Marina. It's very close to everything.
► The historic Lagos city centre, with many restaurants, shops, the traditional market of fresh fish and fruit, and terraces, is only a 10-12-minute walk.
► Near beaches: Around 15-20 minutes walking distance. A nice and short walk along the Lagos Marina and river promenade.
► The Villa has an outdoor front yard with a sofa, tables & chairs, a small barbecue, to have a relaxing drink and make small meals. Free parking in front of the Villa or very close.

Situated just across the small river, 🚶🏻:: : : about a 14-minute walk distance, on your way to Meia Praia beach
🚣♀️🐬Many of the boat trips (to Ponta da Piedade or dolphin watching…), and kayaking adventures, depart from the Lagos Marina or ‘Praia da Batata’ beach

Along the main avenue/river and Marina of Lagos, and on your way to the historic centre, there are several restaurants with typical Algarve and Portuguese food.
. 🐟🍎🥬 On your short walk to the old town, you will also reach the traditional Lagos Market of fresh fish and fruit.
. 🍗🍤🍕At a walking distance from the house, you also have a Portuguese restaurant, a good Seafood Restaurant, two nice family pizza restaurants (one of them serves 30, 50 and 1-metre pizzas!), takeaway places with Portuguese food and various cafes.
► 🍰🍦Regional Sweets (since 1935)
You can also visit my family's pastry shop, “Taquelim Gonçalves”, with delicious traditional Algarve cakes (since 1935) and homemade gelato (since 1964) in the old town centre. It was founded by my grandparents in 1935. They started to make the Dom Rodrigo cake. The most famous cake in the Algarve. 😋

You’ll have two supermarkets just across the street (Pingo Doce supermarket and Lidl supermarket). You can buy freshly made bread every day and Portuguese takeaway food there. It’s very convenient!
► 🏡 The House entrance is located in a small and quiet square with a family-friendly neighbourhood. If you have a car, you can park it in the square free of charge in front of the house.

You can enjoy other beautiful and famous beaches, and the stunning views of the beautiful ‘Ponta da Piedade’, by car (10-minute drive), local bus or tourist train (on the main avenue by the river), or electric bike/scooter (you can rent electric or traditional bikes in various places close by).

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire living space of the villa, the ground floor and the first floor. With the exception of a small internal pantry for the exclusive use of the housekeeping team, the basement and the attic.
Note:
👉 Only Registered Guests at the time of booking are allowed access to the property at any time.
👉 Third-party Service Providers are not permitted access to the property.
* For safety, insurance, and building regulation purposes, only registered guests are allowed to access the property at any time.
* Access is strictly prohibited to any third-party service providers, including but not limited to massage therapists, chefs, beauty technicians, photographers, or similar.
* If guests are considering hiring a service provider that requires access to the property, they must first contact the host for permission.
* Please be aware that no refunds or reimbursements will be made if you are forced to cancel a service due to this policy. We are not responsible for any costs associated with services that cannot be provided within the property.

Other things to note
. There are stairs on the house property:
The outside entrance of the house has a small flight of stairs with 6 steps. Also, 2 flights of stairs inside to access the 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor.
. There is no parking inside the property:
You can park easily and free of charge in front or very near the house.
. The entrance and the front yard of the Villa (city house) are located in a peaceful little square with other villas in a family-friendly neighbourhood. The supermarket is conveniently situated just across the street.
The room with a double bed and a baby travel cot with a balcony is located in this peaceful square.
. For a period of time, you may hear the sound of cars passing more frequently:
At the back of the house, where the 2 bedrooms with balconies and with 2 single beds each, are located, there is a street where, during a period of the weekdays, mainly from about mid/late morning (around 10:00/11:00) to late afternoon (around 19:00/20:00), there is an increase in the number of cars circulating. But nothing too distracting from our guests' comfortable holiday stay. Also, the house has high-quality thermal and acoustic windows and normally during this period guests will be walking or enjoying the beautiful beaches and esplanades of the city. :)
