Our Castle View Apartment is a 1st floor, 1 bedroom apartment in the Grassmarket. It's the perfect location to visit all of Edinburgh's city centre attractions whether visiting for 2 nights or a month. Close to the castle, Royal Mile, University to name but a few, and with a vast array of cafes, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. It is best suited for 2 people but has a comfortable sofa bed in the living room for an extra guest under 10 years if required.
The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a short or long stay. In contrast to overlooking the lively Grassmarket from the living room, the bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard at the back. The apartment is secondary glazing and for those sleeping on the sofa bed you can enjoy the atmosphere in the Grassmarket but shut it out for a good nights sleep! The kitchen is fully equipped if you prefer to cook for yourself and the shower room is cleverly designed and compact. If you need more space or need accommodation close by for other family members or friends we have an apartment right next door that can be booked also called Castle View, Historic Old Town Apartment.

The city of Edinburgh has imposed a 5% (+20% VAT) tourism tax (“visitor levy”) on reservations booked on or after 1 October 2025 for stays which take place on or after 24 July 2026. Hosts are responsible for collecting and remitting this levy on their bookings.
The Grassmarket is a very lively area particularly at weekends and during the festival and therefore not very suitable for those looking for a quiet break!
We welcome families and do not charge for infants. Maximum occupancy 2 adults and 1 child under 10 years.
We will wash and change the towels and bed linen when you leave but please leave the apartment in a clean and tidy state. If there are towels that have not been used please can you put them back in the cupboard.
We provide you with a second set of keys if you need them. We know keys get lost easily but it is expensive for us to keep replacing them. So we will need to charge for any lost keys.
There is no on-site parking for this apartment.
