New, modern, clean, quiet and no clutter, yet very comfortable. Your room is upstairs on 2nd floor. Residential neighborhood close to everything great about Downtown Seattle and the Seattle area. Short 1/2 block from direct bus to downtown Seattle, Space Needle, UW, Seattle Pacific U., a large Shopping Center, etc. Other buses, to other destinations. Quality beds and cotton linens and towels, plus soap and shampoo provided. Tea and coffee provided in main kitchen. I have a medium sized dog (45 lbs.) and sometimes my son's small dog (15 lbs) is a guest. The dogs are not allowed upstairs, or on the furniture and are not confused with being human! Control own heat in your room. As long as our are in the house, the shower is for your use exclusively. I may use shower when you are out of the house. If another person in room, there is an extra long twin futon available for $20 for the first night and then $15 per night. Please let me know in advance. I also have a second larger room with a Queen bed that is posted on Airbnb under the same title #A if two spaces are needed. Most of the time, guests rarely cross paths because of varying schedules and as my home is newer, sound proofing is quite good.

Interaction with guests
I work from home but am in and out during many days and eves. I have stayed in Airbnb places on my own travels so understand the situation. I enjoy people and their stories very much but if you want your own space, I am happy to respect that as well. I am very knowledgeable about the neighborhood and greater area and enjoy sharing suggestions and conversation if desired.
Other things to note
A few blocks from the house is Manolin Seafood Restaurant which was designated by Bon Appetite (Sept. 2015) as one of the 10 best restaurants in the US! (URL HIDDEN) Nearby is the neighborhood of Ballard (west of Fremont) which is very up and coming with much to see and a great Sunday Farmer's Market. North of Fremont is the neighborhood of Wallingford which is just 5 blocks from the house. Catch a movie, eat at some great restaurants, and grab an after dinner espresso or gelato from any number of coffee places. Molly Moons for premium ice cream just for starters....South of Fremont is Queen Anne and Lower Queen Anne. More fun shops and eateries! Fremont is on the water so great parks nearby (GasWorks and Green Lake) and a lovely stroll along the ship canal.

I like the airbnb concept because I lived in Europe as a teenager, have returned there many times and therefore enjoy travel there or stateside or into Canada! The experience is always richer when you stay with "locals" which, to me, gives a real sense of what their part of the world is really like. A curious person by nature, exploring new locations is something I love. Very much a people person who enjoys good conversation. Eclectic by nature, I have a wide range of interests. If there is anything else you would like to know? Please ask.
