We offer a fully equipped newly renovated 1-room apartment for 2 (or 3) persons, located in the old center of Copenhagen. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of an old charming city house located close to Kings Garden, in a quiet and calm neighborhood.

The space

The apartment is newly renovated from top to toe, and has a wonderful light falling through the large windows and french doors towards the small and charming street of Krusemyntegade. The apartment is one big room of approx. 55 square meters. It's an independent apartment with private bathroom. However, the entrance is shared and consists of a hallway with stairs to the second floor where the apartment is. Publicity about the street: "Accordingly with the American magazine Forbes, Copenhagen stands as number three of idyllic living places behind Tuscany and Provence, so there is not difficult in finding secret gems in the city. Krusemyntegade is a street in the center of Copenhagen, boasting charming living houses that were built after a cholera epidemic in mid 19 century with the aim to provide hygenic and healthy living conditions to the people of Copenhagen. It's just a very romantic feeling to stroll along the colourful block of houses."

As our host was away during the first part of the trip & we only briefly met a man, who I think was Kirsten's partner, we really can't speak to their friendliness or helpfulness, like other guests have, so my review is entirely focused on the flat, with the exception of mentioning the flowers that were left in a vase on the coffee table. That was a beautiful touch. The flat is in the top floor of Kirsten's home. The kitchen, lounge and bed are all in a large, sunny space with lots of windows and skylights throughout. The bathroom is in a separate room in the hallway, at the top of the stairs from Kirsten's first floor. We were under the impression upon booking that we would have a completely separated flat to ourselves, and though it was lovely, it was uncomfortable for us to have to go into their home to use the toilet. This would be solved with a door at the top of the stairs to completely separate off the flat from the home. The front door to the house is difficult to close, and when they had returned from holiday, we could not get it to stay locked. Turns out, when they are home, they leave it open, but we weren't aware of that. Because we visited in the peak of daylight hours, sleep was a bit hard to come by as there are so many windows producing loads of light. It's fantastic for all waking hours, and the window's locations provide a fantastic cross-breeze, but difficult for sleeping, as there are only a few pieces of thin cloth to cover the windows and skylight above the bed. The kitchen is very well equipped, and a large table is amazing for a meal in the flat if you choose. There isn't a huge amount of choice in regards to restaurants in the area, but it is a lovely part of town and we really enjoyed staying in it. Train stations are nearby (Osterport is 5 minutes away), and much is walkable. We really enjoyed the nearby beer bar called Black Swan and the upscale grocery store, Irma. Overall, it was a lovely visit and we thought the flat was gorgeous, but if we would have known how little sleep we would get due to the light in the room, and that we'd have to get fully dressed in order to feel comfortable going to the toilet, we might have decided differently.

Kristen and Matias were wonderful hosts and I would recommend a stay in their apartment to anyone who wants to see the city! It was a perfect location close to everything of note and close to a metro stop making the whole city accessible! The apartment was sparkling clean and everything we needed to cook was provided. Matias was extremely accomadating and answered our every question with a rapid response! 10/10, it truly was a delightful apartment

Cosy, Clean & Big apartment. The washroom is clean & private, it is just next to the room. Kirsten provided curtain for us, since the sun rise is so early around 3-4 am. XD The location is close to Osterport St, it only takes around 5 mins. And it is close to the center of Copenhagen. We are really enjoy living here. Kirsten is very nice. Hope to see you again soon.

Kirsten & Joakim have a beautiful house in central Copenhagen on a quiet and lovely street. The top floor apartment is really nice, light and airy, and it's very easy to get around the city from there. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable, and we would definitely stay there again in the future.
