I had been looking for a farm stay opportunity where our kids could learn about life on a farm and where we could get to know some local people, while in New Zealand, instead of just staying at hotels with other tourists. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Malvern Downs. It was exactly what I was hoping for. Christine and Robby were wonderful hosts. They made us feel more like old friends than boarders. We enjoyed getting to know them over a lovely dinner. The rooms were comfortable, the house was kid-friendly. My kids most enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm and playing with their dog. I would have been happy to stay longer and highly recommend Malvern Downs for other families like ours.

We received a very warm welcome from Christine and experienced sincere and warm country hospitality. We were sad to have only stayed for one night, as there was so much to see and discover. We felt like we were old friends and even got to accompany Christine on a rescue mission to rein in some recalcitrant cattle. A true NZ farm experience to which we would love to return!

This was a truly one of a kind experience. The lodging was comfortable and Christine was friendly and helpful. My only regret was that we didn't get to spend enough time exploring Malvern Downs. If you're traveling in the area and looking for a unique place to stay, this one is highly recommended.

You get a true taste of New Zealand life on Christine and Robbie's beautiful farm, and we loved it. If you have the option to have dinner with them, take it! The food was delicious and the company was delightful. We had our own little section of the house and enjoyed a comfortable bed and breakfast outside. We would stay here again!

Chrissie and Robbie were fabulous hosts and we were welcomed into their home. We came away with so much knowledge about how their station runs. We loved their beautiful house and gardens and Chrissie's generous meals were delicious, including her gluten-free options. Pre-visit communication was excellent. Thanks Chrissie and Robbie. Hope to see you, Louis and wee Jock again. Pip and co.

Christie and Robbie were both very welcoming from the minute that we arrived. They were very generous with their time, hospitality and advice, and as a family we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated our stay at Malvern Downs
