Not only is this a beautiful home in a great location, it is also Dominique's hospitality which makes this a fantastic place to stay. We were two families and this house met our needs perfectly! The children enjoyed using the swimming pool (which was crystal clean) and the adults enjoyed sampling lots of homemade treats courtesy of Dominique. The home was clean and we really felt as though it were ours! Thank you again for our wonderful stay in Caen!

Beautiful house close to centre of town. Ticks every box. Ideal for multiple families. Lovely bedrooms, amazing open plan kitchen and living space. Pool was cherry on the cake.

We had the most amazing time in Dominique's beautiful home. Everything matched the descriptions and reviews on the site. Dominique was really easy to contact before and during our stay, he greeted us on arrival to show us round his home and give us the tasty homemade biscuits and jam, as well as other items. This is a home and includes everything you might need - lots of towels, kitchen equipment, soap etc. We loved the quirkiness (glass rooms and a bathroom with sparkly reflective tiles) and we enjoyed spending time in the big pool and garden. It was also very secure and in a lovely area. We enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants and visiting the Caen market. We would love to visit again and highly recommend Dominique's home!

Dominique's home was the perfect venue for our family faction - a real home from home. My husband, parents, siblings and their partners (and a baby!) stayed at the grande maison for ten days. With eight adults and a child, we all found the villa incredibly comfortable and spacious, definitely enough space and bathrooms for us not to be on top of each other. The home was clean and tidy and had all amenities we needed with ample parking for three cars (two in the garden and one on the road), towels for the pool and even laundry facilities. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and found Dominique very helpful in discovering the local area and places to eat etc. Dominique was also brilliant at responding to messages quickly and ensuring we had everything we needed for the trip. The area of Caen itself is beautiful, with great beaches a twenty minute drive away. This is one of the best Air Bnb's I've stayed in and will be hard to beat! Thank you Dominique.

Stayed here for 2 weeks in July August as our main family holiday, with 7 adults . Only twenty minutes from the car ferry terminal at Oustreiham. It was amazing. House was perfect, lots of room, clean, all the amenities you could wish for and of course the heated pool ! It was in a nice quiet area and a easy walk to the local shops. Also easy walk for exploring the Abbaye aux Hommes, the Chateau , the town centre and even the Caen memorial though was a bit longer but still easily manageable. Kitchen had everything you needed , huge fridge and also all the basic cooking ingredients like oil, spices etc. Washing machine and dryer all's came in handy. We also loved Dominique's Jazz CD collection. Dominique was a superb host. He met us and showed us around the house and explained everything. Lovely welcome pack of homemade jam and marmalade, beer, champagne, wine, juices which was super. He gave us tips about what to do and lots of leaflets for attractions in Normandy. The house was a perfect base for trips around Normandy and beyond. We visited Mont St Michel, Bayeaux, D day beaches, Rouen and even Paris which was an easy by train. On the other days we just explored Caen and used the pool which is in a real sun trap. All in all a perfect place to stay in Normandy and a perfect host. We would highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic time in Dominique's house. It's spacious, well equipped and the conservatory and pool in particular are just fantastic. Dominique goes the extra mile in terms of making you feel at home with many welcome treats ... and he is obviously just as gifted in the kitchen as he is in making his home. The location is perfect too - a quiet road in a good area within easy walking distance of the town. We'd love to come back one day.

Dominique's house is an absolute gem. We'd happily come back to Caen just to spend a few more days relaxing in the magnificent kitchen and by the swimming pool, although it's also just a few minutes walk from the main sights and very close to the start of an enjoyable long distance cycle path. Dominique himself made our party of eight feel completely at home, providing us treats and lots of useful information to help us plan our time in Normandy and to find wonderful food and drink in town. Thank you so much for a really delightful and memorable few days!
