The large Salamander Shopping Complex is also 5 minutes by car, with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi and many clothing and gift shops, KFC and MacDonalds etc. The local beach is 5 minutes on foot. We are a 10 minute drive to Nelson Bay Marina, shops, restaurants and pubs and a 15 minute drive to Shoal Bay and Birubi surf beach. There are numerous walking tracks , including one at our local beach to Anchorage and Corlette Beach. Koalas have been spotted at our local beach, (Roy Wood Park) where there are barbecue facilities and picnic areas (good for sunset watching).
