A traditional area of York ,about 25mins walk from the city centre.The area is very local and has not been changed much since these houses were (URL HIDDEN) is peaceful and quiet. there are a few outlying villages only a short walk where they have a fantastic gastro pubs.The nearby village green has two excellent pubs also ,which do food and fine Sunday lunches.Also a very authentic reasonable fish and chip shop nearby Possibly the best fish and chips you will taste!!!You will have to try.On the high street is a Thomas Cafe,the only one of the local Yorkshire Bakers,it is fine for sandwiches cakes breakfast,it produce has won many awards
