Because we had no car, Lorenzo's place was very difficult to get to and then find. Thankfully a friendly local helped us out. All people in the village are friendly, helpful and kind. Fantastic location in the depths of Tuscany. The breakfast 'included' is only instant coffee/tea bags, and the jacuzzi is just a bath. Would definitely recommend for those of you traveling with a car.

Lorenzo was really kind and his place is located in a very charming area! The room has a pull-up bed under and a mini fridge for you to store a few snacks. I honestly would recommend this place if you have a car since you will have to walk on a rocky dirt road for about 15 min to/from bus stop and with your luggage by hand can be a little complicated. It was pretty hard to find the house as the other reviews state. Make sure to ask Lorenzo which buses to take bc it is not that complicated once you have all info. My husband really enjoyed a princess style bath in the Jacuzzi, but to take normal showers it got a little more complicated because water goes everywhere since tub has no walls. Once you get used to taking the bus its not that bad to get there, but make sure you take some flashlight cus the dirt road is pitch black at night. Be aware that it is in the outsides of Florence so by bus it will take about 1 hr to arrive to the center since buses are not that frequent and may end up waiting 15min+. Also our adapter to charge our electronics wouldnt work in his plugs, be prepared with backup written addresses in case. The view from the balcony was unbeatable in the early mornings and sunsets for breakfast or dinner. TIPS if you stay: How to get there; RENT a car or the bus stop you should get off is called La Fonte and is right by a small park. There will be a gas station on one side and a small bakery in the other, go towards the bakery and turn left into the narrow road. Keep walking straight and pass all the beautiful gated houses till you see a gate and "dead end" and feel like you are lost, then look to your left and take the scary path through the bushes, then make your first right and you will see his house to your left! Yup that's how you get there. Now you decide.

We found the house ok after reading others reviews. The house is in a lovely countryside setting. We stayed here to visit Florence and you should be aware that it takes around an hour long journey to get to the centre. You walk for about 15 mins then get the bus which appears to not have a set timetable just comes whenever. The room was basic but was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and big. There is no shower head just a bath so washing my hair was difficult. It was also advertised that there was a washing machine. When we asked Lorenzo told us it was private and we couldn't use it. When we checked the following day it had been taken off the listing. We stayed there partly due to this so was disappointing. On the plus side Lorenzo was helpful with directions and after our first night he bought us a fan as it was very hot. I would recommend staying here if the journey to the town would not bother you.

Response from Lorenzo:
CAUTION!! ABSOLUTELY LIARS AND MALEDUCED GUESTS!! First of all they arrived not in the normal check-in day, but the next morning!! They arrived very early in the morning, probably around 6am, without warning in any way of the time of their arrival!! Obviously at that hour everyone slept and there was no one to welcome them. But the very serious thing is that they enter in another apartment that they had not booked, that obviously was much bigger, more comfortable and with more services than what they had paid for! They also smashed the bathrooms, beds and kitchen of this apartment before we could see what happened! So it was necessary to clean this apartment again (and we don't ask no money for this)!! In addition, after explaining to them that they had to move in the apartment that they had booked, they also had the courage to protest!! Besides, I had expressly forbidden them, before they arrived, to charge their electric car in my house for safety reasons, but they also connected their cable to the current, causing an overload of the system and turning it off! Also I did not say anything about "my phone number", this is a VERY BIG LIE and I have the prove of it!! Rather, during the time of their stay, I wrote several times to them asking if all was right and remembering the rules of the house, but they NEVER responded to me!! I hope you never have the trouble to know these LIARS and RUDE people!

Stayed at Lorenzo`s house for two nights while visiting Florence in July. We had a wonderful time. The room is really cozy and nice and you really feel like you are really long ways from Florence even if you are 6-7 km away from it. The room is really nice, just enough for two people with a magnificent view from window. Lorenzo also provides you with a little fridge, water cooker with coffe, capuccino and tea and a cooling fan which come in greatly since the room is small and fan can cool it really nicely. There is also a little map with bus and restaurants directions which helped us a lot. Bathroom is really big and very nice, and since you are shareing it with just one more room you are rarely going to see you neighboors :D which is really excelent. Since the room is a bit away from Florence like I said, its a good thing to come here with your own car. That helped us a lot, but not owning a car just means u will need to do a bit of walking which really isnt a problem. We had a really nice time and i am just sad that we couldnt meet Lorenzo a bit more and talk about some things since we were both days whole day in city and late in the evening would be very tired from walking and all.

Great place! We had a little trouble finding the place but just follow the directions he will give you! At the end of the road we had to walk on a little trail for a while to the house which I think is confusing for some people but we trusted in the directions and went for it! We found the house finally and was well worth it! Great views! Lorenzo was an awesome host. Would definitely come back!
