The space
Our cozy home is equipped with heaps of books, dvds & unlimited WiFi for rainy days, or relax in the garden in the sun with amazing views of Mt Ruapehu. There's horses in the paddock next to us, as well as sheep, so you can get in touch with nature.

In the Spring (April/May) you can often here the deer roaring - a pretty unique experience if you've never heard it before.

The master bed is king sized, there is also a double bed, and the lounge has a double sofa bed. In the master bedroom there's a king single bed, plus a pull out foam mattress. All linen, sheets and towels etc are provided. A heater is provided for those chilly winter nights as well as a log burner.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, teabags, instant coffee, sugar, and whiteware.

There is free unlimited wifi and a book swap.

Rangataua, Manawatu-Wanganui, New Zealand

There is plenty to do in summer or winter, including mountain biking, skiing, walking, rocking climbing, and much more. There are mountain bike tracks in Rangataua, so you can set off from the house!

We are close to Turoa, Whakapapa and Tukino ski fields, many gorgeous nature walks, bike tracks, hikes, the Old Coach Road, and much more. A short drive to the Tongariro Crossing, one of the best day hikes in the world.

Rangataua is rural, and very beautiful. You will have spectacular views of Mt Ruapehu providing the weather is clear! The night sky from our place is beautiful with absolutely no light pollution, so lay back, relax, and do some stargazing.

Ohakune township (5 min drive) has a supermarket, restaurants, cafes, the best eclairs in the world, takeaways, bike & ski hire, a pharmacy, and more.
