My home (WV not SC) is less than one mile up in the hills south of downtown Charleston in one of the city's most beloved neighborhoods. The lower level is for rent with Airbnb! It is about 650 sq. feet with a huge living area, one bedroom. The "kitchen" was formerly a wet bar. There is a private entrance into the basement, with off-street parking. The entrance to the basement is a deck that faces a forest with very little sight of neighbors except on either side of house.

If you would like to WALK to downtown Charleston, you can take the Carriage Trail. You will need about 15-25 minutes to reach the quaint downtown restaurants!
