You can go paddle boating on the pond, enjoy a hot dog roast with friends,or just spend some time away to relax and refresh.
My family lives nearby and loves to spend time at Cambridge Meadows with friends on open weekends. My parents Les and Miriam own this home. Our family also has a four stores in the area; King's Homestead, King's Impressions, King's Acres, and Metal and Crate. Mondays through Saturday you will most likely be able to find us at one of those locations.
Please note there is no TV or internet
Interaction with guests
Chis and Barbie are nearby if you need anything and may be around doing some yard maintenance. I love to be there when you check in to meet you and make sure you have everything you need for your stay, so if my work schedule permits I stop in when you arrive.
Other things to note
Info about the Pond:
Guests understand that these amenities do not provide any lifesaving devices, lifeguards, etc. Use of these amenities are at guests' own risk.
Do not sit on indoor furniture in wet swimsuits or with suntan oil on.
Bring your own towel for the Pond - No Bath Towels at the Pond.
Wash all sand off before entering the building. The bathroom behind the family room may be used when you are enjoying time by the pond. Please do not go upstairs in wet clothing.
When using the kayak, lift it out to the sand please do not drag, then Rinse the kayak with fresh water after use. The paddles are on the side of pavillion and & life vest are hung under the shelf in the pavillion
No fishing: Unless you have made arrangement with Les before your arrival.
The charcoal grills is in the pavilion for your convience. Please provide your own charcoal.
Instructions for Dishwasher - Please use normal setting for the dishwasher for a complete wash and dry cycle.
Instructions for stove - Be sure to press start after changing settings and double check in five minutes to make sure it started.
Instructions for washer and dryer - Press the power button and then press start. The settings are preset.
Heating and cooling - The controls are in the living room. Turn off all AC units, lights and fans while out to conserve energy.
Kitchen supplies in upstairs kitchen need to stay upstairs and the downstairs supplies are to stay downstairs
Paper towels and bath tissue are provided. Extra items are in the basement restroom or utility room.
House Key Policy. Unit keys will be presented at check-in and must be returned at check-out. There will be a charge of $10.00 for each key missing at check-out. In the event you are locked out, call Sheldon and Veronica at (phone number hidden) and they will meet you. A charge of $20.00 is payable directly to them for this service.
Housekeeping. Your accommodations will be cleaned to quality standards prior to your arrival and after your departure. You will be responsible for the cleaning of your unit during your stay and for leaving the unit in good condition at check-out. We respectfully request that you remember that you are staying in someone's home during your stay; please treat it with care.
Trash - Please place trash in the garage downstairs. We try to pick it up once or so during your stay. Please replace liners in the trash bins.
Furnishings: No Moving Indoor Furniture. Folding chairs and benches are available for extra seating.
Smoking is strictly prohibited. You will incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and deodorizing if any evidence of smoking is found.
No pets allowed in the rental units or on the premises.. You will also incur an additional charge for carpet cleaning and flea spray if any evidence of a pet(s) is found in the home.
No burning candles
No guests of guests - without permission from owner
We will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guest's personal property or items left on the property
Cell Phone Service: cell phone coverage cannot be guaranteed and will also be affected by the elements such as fog or location.
Internet: We DO NOT provide internet, (Hopefully in the future it will be available)
