The apartment was really good and clean. I would suggest this apartment. The host was kind even if not fast in answering.

The location is very convenient, near grocery shops, the Halles and restaurants. The apartment has a small lounge space but to balance this all rooms have a bathroom. Philippe was very responsive and helpful.

Philippe was an excellent host - he picked us up at the station, even going twice as our train was delayed. He explained everything around the apartment and was on call if we needed him. When we did email about a minor problem just for his future reference, he immediately arranged for it to be fixed. The apartment is in a great location, around the corner from Les Halles (fresh food markets), easy walk to the station, tourist info centre and the old part of Tours. Everything was in easy walking distance. It has 3 large bedrooms with their own spacious bathrooms and security codes. It appears a really good set up for business people as there were also desks in each bedroom with excellent Internet access. The living area is very small but has a well equipped kitchen, everything you need. It was okay for the 3 of us. The apartment is very quiet and private, lighting is subdued and it is air conditioned. We can highly recommend this apartment for location, a genial, helpful host and a modern, well equipped facilities.

Phillippe was easy to contact via email. We were a family of 4 travelling with young children and plenty of luggage, so Phillippe kindly met us at the train station and drove us to the apartment. The apartment, while small, is newly renovated and comfortable. The location of the apartment is perfect for accessing markets and the sights of the old town, and is just a fifteen minute walk from the train station. The old town of Tours is delightful, with plenty of history and a plethora of cafes and markets - the old town square is a must see.

M. Phillipe was a most gracious host. The apartment was thoroughly modern with functioning air conditioning. There was a heat wave while we were in France and the cool apartment was a treat. The rooms were small but nicely furnished. The apartment was thoroughly clean. There is a small living room area with a functional but restricted kitchen. If your desire is to do real cooking, this kitchen will not be sufficient. If, like us, your desire is to have breakfast and maybe sandwiches in the apartment, the kitchen will be more than sufficient. The apartment is very well located in a very quiet street that is within 2-3 blocks of the center. In the center (Place Plumereau) there are more restaurants than one can imagine and they are all heavily frequented. The city teems with youth (18 – 30) out in the center and along the riverbank enjoying the evening air. The apartment is far enough away that you are not bothered by the noise but close enough to get there easily. The furniture in the apartment is modern but sparse. It is ample. The beds were most comfortable. The bathroom facilities and showers were modern and very functional (not always a “gimme” in France). There was plenty of hot water (also not a “gimme” in France). There was a public parking one block away that cost 12 Euros for 24 hours. It was very convenient. I would happily stay again in this apartment again when I return to Tours.

It was a lovely experience interacting with Philippe and staying at the apartment. We were a family of 6 so the sitting room was a little tight but the bedrooms were perfect. The apartment was quite central to all our city walks. I'd love to visit again, soon.

We were very pleased with the apartment we rented from Philippe. Myself, my husband and 3 friends of ours went up to Tours for Vitiloire, and the apartment was perfect because it was about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station, which meant we were also about a 10-15 minute walk to the wine festival. There was a bit of trouble getting into contact with Philippe as to how we would meet and get the necessary information, but fortunately while he wasn't available, Morgane was. Morgane was very gracious. My husband and I took our car while our friends took the train (so we could transport wine back). When we arrived, Morgane hopped into the car with us to show us exactly where the undergound parking garage was, and then helped us carry our bags to the apartment. From the outside, it doesn't look like much and as if it's still in the midst of renovation. The apartment is on the second floor and is a walk up (ie for non-Americans, it's the first floor after the ground floor), and the stairs are quite steep. However, the apartment itself is impeccably furnished. Something you can't see in the pictures is that each bedroom has its own private bathroom, and the showers that are installed are FANTASTIC. Big and very easily controlled water temperature. The bedding is comfortable. The kitchen is really more of a kitchenette, but it fit our needs perfectly. It would be nice to have a bit more space in the living/dining room area, but since we were 5, we just took the chairs out of the bedrooms so everyone could sit around the table. There's a dishwasher as well, but since we really only made very simple fare, we washed all the dishes ourselves. Since everything is so new, there are actually no keys - rather, everything opens with a digicode that Philippe changes. Even the individual bedrooms have doors that you must input a digicode to go inside. That would definitely be nice for those who might want to split the cost of the apartment with people they don't know well. Overall, everyone left with a very good experience, and I was happy we had chosen Philippe's apartment. We will for sure hope to get it again for next year!
