Tim, made my amazing stay in London complete. His home is the strongest oasis of tranquility and peacefulness, which is very important for such a vibrant and never stopping city. It's the place to wind down and recharge your energy!
I enjoyed very much! Thank you very much Tim!
I had a great time in the house of Tim. The apartment is very cosy and it is just the same that we see in the pictures! The room is lovely and Tim is really friendly and happy to give you advice on the local area. The location is very convenient and very near to more than one bus stop. I greatly recommend Tim's place!
Tim is a great host and it's a really nice flat. The four weeks I stayed, I felt right at home. If you're looking for a great place to stay in London, this is where to go.
I can highly recommend staying with Tim. He is a wonderful, professional host and Everything with my 1 week long stay with him Went perfectly. Tim wasn't at home when I arrived, but he arranged Everything perfectly and I could let myself in which was very convenient. He offered breakfast and wine, and helped me with showing me the bus stop and how I'd best get to different places.
The location is very convenient. It was very easy to go into Oxford circus, both by bus and subway.
As for the apartment; it is absolutely stunning! Tim has very good taste. The Place is immaculately Clean and has Everything you could possibly need. If you're picky about cleaniness this Place is way better than any hotel I've ever stayed in in London. The duvet and the pillows are so comfortable, it was difficult to get out of bed in the mornings!
The only minor negative thing I can come to Think of is that there seems to be problems to get the Power outlet converters to work in his outlets for some reason.
Great stay, couldn't have been better!
I and my wife are really glad that we chose Tim's apartment. We enjoyed a lot staying there for our week vacation in London (in Sept 2013).
The apartment is very nice and well designed by Tim. It's actually a three floors house. The entrance has a small lobby and a coat rack at the ground floor. Then there are stairs to the second floor which has a work room, bathroom, kitchen and a very nice salon with a fire place. Tim loves flowers and candles, so we had fresh flowers and he lighted few candles every evening which created a very warm and romantic atmosphere. The stairs then lead to the third floor which has 2 large bedrooms.
The location is great and really close to the center of London. You can walk or take a bus to the very center.
Tim is a very nice and kind person and he immediately took care of anything we needed. He even prepared great and healthy breakfast every morning. Moreover, Tim emailed us in advance (and when we arrived also gave us printed) recommendations for good restaurants located in a walking distance from the apartment. He offered us to use his work room with computer and printer. So we could buy online and print tickets to some shows and performances. The WiFi works great on all floors and in all rooms.
If it's your first time in UK, I highly recommend you buying a prepaid sim card (you can buy one for £5 only with 1Gb data or for £10 with unlimited data plan and lots of SMS and UK calls). You can buy such sim card at Elephant&Castle station that you will most probably visit anyway on your way to Tim's apartment.
Bottom line: I highly recommend you choosing Tim's apartment as your place to stay in London.
I had a great time at Tim´s place and I would absolutely recommend it!Tim was a very nice host who would give me advice about London whenever I needed it. Also, he prepared breakfast for me :)!
The house is very nicely furnished and the room had enough storage for me even though I stayed for ten weeks and brought a lot of clothes. I had acces to the kitchen which is equipped with really everything you need to cook as well as to the washing machine. In addition, I were allowed to use Tim´s computer whenever I needed to print something ( apart from that, I had my own laptop). The wireless works well.
The whole place is really tidy and clean!
I really enjoyed the area, Elephant and Castle, because it is sooo central. You can reach almost every place in London by bus (the bus stop is really close by, less than one minute walk) or even faster by tube (the station is about 5 walking minutes away). I worked in the city and even during rush hour I usually needed less than 30 minutes to get there - which all my colleagues would envy me for :). Although the place is very central, it is rather calm at night so I had no trouble sleeping with the window open.
Again: Tim´s place is absolutely recommendable!
Great place to stay, lovely house and very convenient to get quickly into central london. Tim's very welcoming and friendly and a great host.
I really enjoyed staying at Tim's place. The apartment is as nice as it shows in the pictures. The bedroom is a nice size and clean. The location is good and easy to get to the central London. Tim is a great host and he even prepared fresh orange juice/breakfast for me in the morning. He also gave me good tips/recommendations for place to go and eat in town.
I'd stay here again for the next trip in London.
The apartment is perfectly located with Underground station and buses ! And what about the flat : it is perfect... Tim made me a great welcome and he makes so that you felt at your home . Thank you and hope to come again soon.
It was my first experience with airbnb and it was very great! Tim's House is very very clean and nice! Next to all the London monument like Westminster (3 tube station) or place of interest like Soho,Camden or Notting Hill (into 10 and 20 minutes with the bus).
Tim is a really friendly guy and all his small kindnesses were realy touch us!
