Villa Eleftherna is a superb rural hideaway, set in an area of magnificent natural beauty, located in the homonym picturesque village of Rethymno. Nestling on a quiet lane in the village, Villa Eleftherna is more than a country cottage or a holiday villa.
The space
Built on the highest spot of the village, it offers breathtaking views on the Cretan Sea, Mountain 'Psiloritis' and the surrounding area. Private but not remote, Villa Eleftherna is next to the village square, where you can find traditional taverns, cafes and a mini-market.
Layout
The 190 m2, two-storey villa is stone-built in a traditional style and can accommodate 8 guests in its 4 bedrooms and up to 10 if necessary. The Villa is decorated in a romantic, countryside style and classically furnished with wooden furniture and ceilings.
Ground floor
Entering the villa, the open plan area welcomes you in the cosy living room, featuring two comfortable sofas, a 55'' Smart TV with Netflix (villa's account), a bluetooth speaker and an open fireplace. Next to the sitting area, guests can find the fully equipped kitchen, offering an indoor dining table as well. Both the living room and the kitchen have direct access to a spacious veranda providing an additional dining area and mesmerising countryside views, and to the pool/garden area after descending a few stairs. Additionally, two of the property’s bedrooms are located on the ground floor, one of which offers a king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00), while the other one features two single beds (0.90 x 2.00) that can be joined as one king-size bed. Both bedrooms have doors that open up to the rear part of the villa and are equipped with patio furniture, enjoying garden views. Finally, a family bathroom with a bathtub is available between the two bedrooms.
First floor
Reaching the first floor, guests can find the two remaining bedrooms of the Villa, one of which offers a Queen-size bed (1.60 x 2.00) and a loft, while the other one features two single beds (0.90 x 2.00) that can be joined as one king-size bed (1.80 x 2.00). Both bedrooms provide access to the enormous veranda, enjoying panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding area! The veranda overlooks the garden and offers extra sitting areas. Furthermore, an additional family bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub is located on this level.
Outdoor area
After descending a few steps from the ground floor veranda, guests can reach the beautifully landscaped outdoor area of the Villa. More specifically the exterior spaces provide several facilities, including:
- A private, 40 sq.m. swimming pool that also offers a removable volleyball net for endless moments of fun with your loved ones!! The pool can also be heated upon advance request, for an additional daily charge, for the entire stay, and requires at least one week’s notice.
- The pool area is equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and an outdoor shower for your comfort. The terrace also enjoys beautiful countryside views!
- Fully equipped BBQ facilities with outdoor sink and wood oven, next to an outdoor dining area under the shade of the trees.
- Beautiful garden, with flowers, shrubs, fruit trees and lawn covered areas around the pool, ideal for the kids to play. Also, a hammock is available under the trees, just the perfect spot for relaxation.
- Parking inside the Villa premises for 3 cars
- 4 mountain bikes and light hiking equipment (batons) are provided, so you can explore the area around the Villa.
- The whole outdoor area is fenced and has a private entrance with a gate, offering 100% privacy to our guests.
Villa Eleftherna is approved by Greek Tourism Organisation & managed by "etouri vacation rental management".
**Accommodation cost excludes Climate Resilience Tax. The amount for the accommodation type is set at €15 per night from April to October and €4 per night from November to March, payable upon check-in.

Guests will have access and full privacy to all areas indoor and outdoor!
