We stayed with Patricia for 3 nights and she couldn't have been more accommodating. The space is as described, spotless, on a mountain side and is a perfect secluded spot. Patricia was on hand with advice and a chat and we also got to meet her two dogs honour and Gracie who we e…

Response from Patricia:
Thanks for your stay up here with us! I am not sure how to adequately express to guests that this location is up a mountain but it is consistently mentioned throughout the listing, including that 4 wheel drive is necessary for winter travel and is clearly stated in the rules. I don't really understand 4 stars for location-based on the fact that one could not travel up here in the winter without 4 wheel drive when it is accurately written in the listing. For those of you reading this...just know that this location is in a secluded, lovely spot up a winding, elevating mountain road (per the listing description). Please, please read the whole listing so you are not surprised by the location. As a host, I appreciate a review that is based on a true reading of the actual listing, rather than guests' surprise for lack of taking the time to read through the listing and rules. Giving a review ought to be based on your actual stay, not the anticipation that you could not have made it up the hill without 4 wheel drive in winter weather, ESPECIALLY when the rules require 4-wheel drive for winter weather. Please read the listing and rules through before booking a stay. Thank you!

I was born and raised in Vermont and work as a pastry chef and a professional hand reader. I adore my two Australian Shepherd dogs, and the beautiful little mountain we live on. Being out of doors in nature is my favorite pastime. And, I enjoy quiet, rainy days, reading, writing,…
