It's the perfect getaway in an enchanting, bucolic setting.

Spend the day wildlife watching and then relax, stargazing by the fire pit in the evening before retiring to your comfortable, cosy hut for the night. Electric log burner.

Situated close to the old market town of Halesworth, there is plenty to see and do – from the beaches of Southwold to the forests of Dunwich.

The space
Orchid is one of our 3 self catering shepherds huts and inside has a 2 ring halogen hob, and a microwave oven , Toaster for cooking, also you will find pots and pans, plates utensils etc ,it also has a under counter fridge with a small freezer compartment. There is also a electric log burner heater for those colder nights. TV and DAB Radio. Orchid sleeps 2 adults in a cabin style double bed. and 2 children or young adults on the day beds. And outside you will find a picnic bench with parasol. BBq, towels and bedding, toiletries supplied. Our 3 shepherds huts are ideal for family groups and friends as well so if you book all 3 you get the whole site to yourselves. There is also a cabin in the car park area in which you will find games,books, information on local attractions, hair dryer, everything you need for a for a beach visit etc among other items. All 3 of our shepherd huts are sited at the top end of a two acre wild flower meadow. There is a cut grass area where you can have a BBQ and also a picnic bench for alfresco dining.

The meadow is cut just once a year in September, after all the wildflowers have bloomed, making
it a natural haven for butterflies, birds and insects.

Guest access
Each shepherd hut has its own allocated parking space.

There is a wooden store where you’ll find BBQs, books, etc. Guests will be given a key to the store and are free to use the items, returning them when finished. Please note: you will need to buy your own charcoal for BBQs.

Guests are welcome to walk around the meadow in front of the huts.

Other things to note
Orchid has 1 double bed and 2 seats that can be made up into two single beds at night. These single beds are suitable for children 4 years and older, as they are a bit high for younger children.

We can arrange a travel cot for babies, just let us know when you book your holiday.
