Just 15 minutes drive from fabulous Carcassonne, unique open-plan studio under the eaves of an old stone barn, with wonderful private roof terrace facing south to the Pyrenees. Gorgeous swimming pool and open-air hot tub in the gardens (shared).

The space

The luxury of boutique accommodation combined with the authenticity of traditional French village life. Original and romantic interior, with showstopper open-plan corner bath, old beams, cleverly designed kitchen corner, amazing roof terrace facing south to the Pyrenees.

Guest access

Beautiful pool and hot tub; prize-winning, unusual gardens (guests enjoy helping themselves to herbs, and using the composters!), bicycles for exploring.

Interaction with guests

I'm on hand to provide help and information but remain very discreet. Guidebooks, maps and a very comprehensive information folder are provided in the accommodation so the guests are not obliged to search me out and the choice of how much to interact with me is entirely theirs.

Susan User Profile

I'm originally from the UK but have lived in Europe (mostly France, but also Greece and on a boat in the Mediterranean) almost all my adult life. I'm married to a Corsican (love that island, lived there for a decade) and became French recently (but am still Brit too). For many years I couldn't have lived without a boat, but my primary passion is ski-ing which is why I now live within an easy drive of the Pyrenees. I love making things beautiful, and it's been a joy to create my wonderful garden from what was just an overgrown field. Other interests: leaning languages (I'm bilingual in French and can get by in Greek, Italian and Spanish), cinema, classical music and jazz, reading.
