Great place - Fantastic Value! The location was great, exactly as it says on the travelling instructions. Never had to wait on a bus - that's how frequent they are! $3 each way, straight through the Lincoln Tunnel. Was greeted warmly by Andres who showed us everything and offered us some beer (Nice after a long flight!). Answered any questions we had and let us settle in. Me and the boyfriend kept to ourselves most of the trip, however we know that we would have been welcome to join in at any time in the 'common areas'. Room was a great size with lots of hanging space and an en suite. Provided towels and there were some toiletries. Air con was a god send in the hot weather! Would highly recommend to anyone on a smaller budget when visiting New York, who enjoys both their own space and the company of 'locals'

The location is really wonderful, a reliable 15 minutes from Manhattan using the 24-hour Patterson minibus through the Lincoln Tunnel. The room is as described, comfortable and with a great bath/shower room. The local area can sometimes be a bit noisy, the installed air conditioning certainly will be! It is so noisy that you won't sleep unless you use the supplied earplugs. (They are there for a reason.) The host wasn't there when we arrived, but made efficient and friendly arrangements with a neighbour to let us in. We didn't see our host much and were really left to our own devices, which is fine if that is what you like, as we did.

Andrés place was so lovely and welcoming. We were in New York over new year and it was easy enough to get around using the white minivans. The apartment itself was lovely and cosy, everything you will need is there :) thanks so much Andrés, we would definitely stay again if we visit New York in the future.

Fantastic host & accommodation Andres had everything covered when it came to things we needed; maps, guides, shampoo, towels etc. The room was clean & tidy and was a really good size. The bed was comfortable also. Bus into the city is only 3 blocks away (3mins walk) and only costs $3 , the time (it takes) varies dependant on traffic. The view from the living room is also something you have to see (awesome). Thanks to Andres for making our first AIRBNB experience a great one.

I stopped in Andres's apartment for 5 nights from the 6th Nov to the 11th. Andres was very accommodating towards myself and was very apologetic when the room wasn't ready as I had arrived a little earlier than expected. He informed me of the large wardrobe space that I had to myself and additional extras in which were included such as Shampoo, Body Lotion, Ear plugs etc. I personally bought my own with me so had no need for the items but they're useful to those who may have forgotten something. Andres shown me around his apartment informing me of space in the fridge, how the television works and that I can items such as the Microwave etc. The bus into the city costs $3.20 and is caught on Palisade Avenue, just outside the post office. When heading back to the apartment make sure you catch the number 159 and specifically mention Union City Post Office as there were a number of times I got taken to the wrong place and were left a mile out. Thanks for a pleasant stay Andres and I hope you'll enjoy it just as much as I did.

Super comfy and convenient to Times Square/subways by bus. While we did not see Andres, his friend was extremely nice, and the privacy was superb. The neighborhood was fairly quite too. 10/10 recommend!
