Escape to a peaceful Loft on a hill farm with mountain views in a lovely rural setting but only minutes from shops, great restaurants, and the charming town of Blairgowrie. With panoramic views and stunning sunsets, this quiet retreat is perfect for families of four and couples seeking a romantic getaway. Children very welcome.
Well-behaved pets are also very welcome with a number of good walks close by with easy access to the garden and paddock
Lots of swallows and house martins so no midges.
The space
Zip and Link double/twin beds in bedroom and double sofa bed in large open plan living/dining room/ kitchen. Eclectically furnished with antiques, family heirlooms and traditional country house furniture with linen and towels being provided. There is a log burning stove with a good supply of logs when the evenings become cooler and a convector heater in the bedroom. The kitchen area has an induction hob, fan oven/grill, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a television and free WiFi, the password being under the router and Super Fast Fibre Broadband and a Smart TV.
Guest access
The south west facing terraced lawn has a garden table and bench and there is a parking area adjacent to the Loft. Self check in is no problem if preferred but Lachlan and Nicky are available at all times by messaging, phone or email and live in the farmhouse.
During your stay
Nicky and Lachie are available for advice on what to do in the area.
Other things to note
This is the perfect base for hiking, cycling, wildlife, golf and salmon fishing. The Cairngorms National Park is only half an hour away and the 60 mile Caterran Trail is right on the doorstep. Blairgowrie has two
Championship golf courses and there is top quality salmon fishing close by.
Right on the edge of the Highlands, there is easy access to some of the greatest motorcycle routes in Europe, including the Snow Roads Scenic route to the Cairnwell at the top of Glen Shee and from there to Balmoral Castle and beyond.
This is also the perfect base for visiting historic places including Glamis Castle, Blair Castle and Scone Palace.
