An attached, private guest suite in a unique lovely home. Rural, beautiful, open 5 acres with breathtaking views of the Three Sisters. On a private dead end road surrounded by thousands of acres of Forest Service and BLM land. Feels like miles from nowhere, yet just 15 minutes to Sisters and 30 minutes to downtown Bend. Very peaceful and quiet. Come and relax, explore the area by bicycle or by foot, watch birds, stargaze, and simply commune with nature. A truly special property.

The space
Please note we taking the the time to thoroughly clean and disinfect our space after each guest.

While it is very safe here, we do live in a remote rural area. Because of that, we want to meet our guests upon arrival and we ask that you have a photo of yourself posted on your Airbnb listing so we can recognize you when you arrive. We do not discriminate!
• We are offering a comfortable private 3 room guest suite with a view, a private patio entrance (with and an outdoor fire pit table) into a kitchenette/dining/yoga area, a bedroom/lounge area, and private bathroom. Surrounded by green lawn with a swimming pond available to enjoy in the warmer months upon request. Tons of hiking, walking, and biking trails are nearby or take off right from the property. Environmentally friendly property – pesticide and chemical free.
• Black out curtains and up/down privacy blinds in both rooms
• Lots of open hanging space and a dresser
• All water on the property is delicious and pure from community wells in the area.
• SMALL KITCHENETTE INCLUDES: a small refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and coffee press electric kettle, toaster, small and large electric skillet, crockpot, tableware, flatware, glass cookware, coffee mugs, beer and wine glasses, utensils, cutting boards, hot pad, pitcher, small cheese grater, glass measuring cup, microwave popcorn maker, microwave bacon grill, place mats, cloth napkins, dishcloths, and paper towels. We do NOT have a sink in the kitchenette, but do have supplies if you want to wash dishes in the bathroom. For longer stays, we can run your dishes through our personal dishwasher.
NOTE
• UPON ARRIVAL we provide a mixed selection of organic tea, organic coffee pods, hot cocoa, organic sugar, raw honey, organic fresh fruit, organic half and half, Himalayan salt and organic pepper, and Banana Bread from Sparrow Bakery in Bend.
A NOTE ABOUT COFFEE: We provide 2 complimentary organic Keurig cups of coffee a day for the duration of your stay. If you are a coffee lover, we encourage you to bring your favorite blend of ground coffee and to use the electric kettle and coffee press for unlimited cups.
ALSO UPON REQUEST: A Blender or Nutribullet, Weber charcoal barbecue, charcoal starter chimney, tongs.
• BEDROOM: A firm queen bed with soft, microfiber sheets, light alternative down comforter, quilted bedspread, extra blankets, pillows, and linens, two soft robes, bedside tables, bedside chargers, and reading lights. Also includes hanging space, oak dresser, mirror, a leather couch with a leather bench, area rug, bookshelf with assorted books, flat screen TV with Cable channels and Dish TV, guest access to Amazon Prime movies, NETFLIX, and a Blueray DVD player (DVDs not provided), small portable electric fireplace heater, and a ceiling fan.
• BATHROOM: Luxurious deep soaking tub, extra towels, lots of hooks. Included: shampoo and rinse, body wash, hand soap, epsom salts and lavender essential oil for the bath, disposable make up remover wipes, facial tissue, hand and body moisturizer, hair dryer, and in case you forgot yours: a toothbrush, toothpaste, and razor.
• GUIDE BOOKS: Bend Daycations, Bend & Central Oregon Day Hiking, Trail Running Bend & Central Oregon, The Nature of Bend, Peterson's Bird Guide, and maps of the area
• UPON REQUEST: Iron and ironing board, for longer stays of more than 5 days we would be happy do a load of laundry for you.

Our little neighborhood off Delicious Street and Barbara Way is an almost invisible rural community of 13 homes, mostly nestled amongst the trees and unseen by others. We all enjoy the quiet and the wild, being respectful and protective of each other's privacy and individuality, and we all have an ongoing love of the area.

Gary and I retired to Bend in early 2015 after a long busy life in the Bay Area. Gary is a native Californian and I was born and raised in Honolulu but spent most of my adult life in Marin County, CA raising my children and working in SF. We truly feel the wonder and enchantment of rural Central Oregon here in Bend in our newly built home at the foot of the Three Sisters. Life has become incredibly rich for us as we continue to explore the beauty and intimacy of the natural world.

We both relish fun. This includes canoeing, hiking, watching birds, wildlife and stars, and taking trips in our little vintage trailer.

We are adventurers on many levels, and while we love to travel and explore the back roads and natural beauty of the world, we also love to explore our own creativity and depth and the more of who we are and who we are becoming. We love to ponder the mysteries of life from new and ever changing perspectives.

We would like to meet you upon your arrival, or the next morning, to introduce ourselves. We respect your privacy and are available directly by text or phone. While the guest suite is attached to our home, we won't wander by your windows or intrude on your private outside space. We respectfully ask that you ask in advance if you would like friends to visit the property.

Gary and I are both artists with our own expressions. I chose to focus on bronze figurative work over the years, and Gary has always loved to work with wood. He has made several pieces of elegant furniture in our home as well as some beautiful small boxes. I decided to change course for a while and created three landscape installations on our property. If interested, we would be happy to share our projects with you.
