Cosy mid terrace 3 floor Edwardian cottage, over 110 years old, welcoming and homely with many original features, vintage finds, tasteful décor, comfortable furnishings.Stones throw from Ferry,train,bus,docks , so very conveniently placed .Free parking 6pm-8am Mon - Sat (Sunday all day) free nearby other times. Sunny, enclosed garden at rear,table,seats for alfresco meals. Beaches, country walks ,sea fishing, shops, restaurants all close .1 night stay for 2 max possible please ask for details

The space
For those wishing to visit the Amex (American Express) Community Stadium it couldnt be easier,a short walk to the end of our road to Newhaven Town train station,catch the train to Falmer station which stops right outside the stadium and off peak return tickets are only £3.70 per person.The journey time is 16 to 20 minutes depending on which train you catch.There is a large green area with children's play equipment just behind the house which is perfect for kids( or exuberant adults) to let off steam and is great for ball games.

Guest access
The whole house is exclusively available to our guests as well as the small garden which is fully enclosed with a table and chairs, however please note the bedrooms are allocated according to the number of guests, so if only one or two guests only one or two bedrooms will be made available, the others will be locked. There is space to keep bicycles safely in the garden or indoors.The garden is level with a small grassed area,patio and flower beds and a rotary washing line. There is a bin for refuse ( black) and a green one with a blue lid for clean recycling outside the back door, please put any food waste in the lined kitchen bin.

Other things to note
There are trains running close by( though not through the night) but do not make enough noise to disturb our guests and there is a fairly busy road at the front which brings some traffic noise but again only during the day..

Neighbourhood highlights

The immediate neighbourhood is of a busy seaport and train station with quite an industrial feel, so the house is not blessed with a lovely view but its such a convenient spot and close to everything. Within a very short walk or drive there are lovely beaches and country walks, supermarkets and fast food at the end of the road. Everything is in very easy reach with great transport links. You can stroll along beside the harbour or sit and have a drink at the pub/restaurant there. The south downs and the coast are what makes our location special.

We are a family of 8,myself,my husband Mark and our 6 grown up kids,two of which are married,three live independently and one is still at home.Mark sells Catering equipment and repairs laundry equipment,I help in the home office with phone calls etc I love gardening, cooking,upcycling furniture and vintage finds and anything creative. We love the beach and as soon as the sun shines we head for our nearest one.We love music and going to concerts, Mark has a huge collection of cds and vinyl and plays music everyday. We enjoy being hosts and we looking forward to welcoming our guests to the house we have put much care and love into. We have been guests ourselves with airbnb several times and are clean tidy and very respectful of others property when we stay there and treat it as we would our own home.We don't smoke or make lots of noise when we are guests and leave homes as we found them ,as hosts we don't want to make lots of rules other than asking our guests to do the same please and to refrain from wearing outdoor shoes on the stair carpet to help keep it clean. Other than that we have tried to make the house as welcoming,well equipped and comfortable as we can and hope you have a wonderful stay.
