This cottage is all about the view! Beach-side location at the base of the 199 steps - perfect for exploring the beautiful historic town of Whitby. Browse in the eclectic independent shops and sample the finest seafood in the local eateries. Walk up to the abbey, stroll along the piers and collect fossils from the beach, take a ride on the steam train to the neighbouring villages and explore the moors.
Please note due to the beach side location of the cottage, there is unfortunately no parking.

The space
The cottage is tatesfully decorated, the modern fitted kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, oven & ceramic hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, a washing machine and a dishwasher.
The lounge has wonderful views onto the beach below, and over the harbour - There is a sofa and a dining area so that you can sit and enjoy the view, and there is also a smart TV with built in freesat, an amazon echo dot, and a small supply of books to keep you entertained.

The compact shower room with a spacious electric shower (towels and mini toiletries are provided).
The cosy double bedroom has uninterrupted sea views out of the harbour for you to enjoy without even leaving your bed! An Amazon echo show for use as an alarm clock, radio and other useful information. Bedding is provided.
In the dressing room there is a wardrobe and chest of drawers along with a hairdryer, long wall mirror and chair.
Dryden cottage is a perfect little hideaway for couples wishing to explore the old town, coastline and surrounding areas.

We’ve been lucky enough to live in Whitby all our lives. We love where we live, and enjoy being able to share our town with visitors. We have two lovely cottages located right next to the beach, both with superb sea and harbour views!
