Places of interest
Museum of Forest and agriculture
The museum of the Forest and the Campesinado de Vallgorguina is in a remodeled old house, known as Can Mainou, which was given by Mr. Joan Mainou and Fornés to the City Hall through a vitality, in 1993. This museum was inaugurated on 26th November 2016 by the Minister of Governance of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Ms Meritxell Borràs y Solé, and the Mayor of Vallgorguina Joan Mora Alsina.

The museum consists of three spaces: the entrance, where the history of our town is explained a little, and then there are the tools and explanations of the peasantry, such as cereals, vine, the countryside and some trades . If we go out to the courtyard, we can see a cart and horse with its ornaments and some stones of the New Mill, the last mill that there was in Vallgorguina.

If we go up to the first floor, we will find the history and all the utensils that were used when working in the forest: how the pine cones are covered, how the coal was made, the craft and history of the cappers in Vallgorguina, the tools of the forest (axes, saws, mace, etc.). There is also a section on hiking in the village and another on the animals and birds that live in the forest.

In both rooms there are three audiovisuals, where several people tell us facts and customs from years ago of the forest and agriculture.

He can visit on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the new highway 38.

El dolmen de Pedra Gentil
Megalithic construction formed by 7 vertically nailed slabs on which the roof stone is located. Currently, we don't know what the original aspect of the Pedra Gentil dolmen was. Thanks to the written documentation, we know that in 1855 it was restored by Mr. Josep Pradell, owner of the property where it is located.

To get to the 13,200 km of the C-61 road that goes from Sant Celoni in Arenys de Mar, you have to take the forest track that goes to the Sanctuary of the Corridor and that starts from the bridge of Can Pradell de la Serra.
There is an excursion marked "The dolmen of Pedra Gentil", the brochure can be found in the village in the office of the Natural Park of Montnegre and the Corridor.

Iglesia San Andrés de Vallgorguina
The church is from a ship with a square absid. The vaulted deck and cornice in a row is supported by large outdoor machones that at the same time divide it with four stretches. The molded winding profile facade is plastered and whitewashed. At the front door, it is accessed by a two-slice staircase, it is a lowered arch, above this arch there is a napkin with the image of San Andrés, at the top there is a large earring and in the crown a small porthole. The bell tower located on the midday side, is of two bodies, the first is of square plan, has two windows and a clock, on which the second body starts, which happens to be octaved, this one has four holes for the bells . On this second body is an end with balustrades. Inside in addition to the altar of the patron saint, there are six side chapels with modern-era images.

Church Square next to the City Hall.

The church of San Andrés has been documented since 1083, when Guillem Umbert and his wife undertook not to attack this parish that was owned by the monastery of Sant Cugat. In the thirteenth century it passed under the jurisdiction of Montclús Castle and in 1328 the barony of Montclús was annexed to the viscounty of Cabrera. It seems that it was not a very rich parish and that is why it did not have a rector, so they celebrated the liturgical acts
the vicars of Pertegàs. In 1446 San Andrés was attached to the parish of Santa Maria de Vilalba Sasserra, in which the rector resided. Through the pastoral visits of the sixteenth century it is seen that the state of the church was bad because of the continuous water leaks and a fire that suffered, although repaired, in 1610 they continue to have problems, so it is ordered that a deck be made by the waters, the work consists of 1635. In 1771 the bishop complains about the poor state of the temple and asks that a new one be made, it is not until the nineteenth century, that the new construction works are undertaken in the center of the village, which at that time was growing. The construction of the new church began in 1946 and is completed in 1948. This way the old church is left as a cemetery chapel.
The cost of the new church and rectory was 2,517 hard and 4 pesetas and 26 cents. This cost was paid with donations from the people of the village (1,621 hard and 5 cents) and with a contribution from the City Council (842 hard and 1 peseta). There were 54 hard, three pesetas and 21 cents missing that were distributed among the commissioners.
