We had a lovely stay at Helene and Michael's. The pool and garden were brilliant for our little children. And just as the other reviews has expressed, Helene and Michel were wonderful hosts. We would definitely recommend to anyone keen to visit the area. We had great fun visiting neighbouring towns and the beach one day.

We had a lovely time staying at Helene and Michel's House. It was very beautiful inside and was well equipped and decorated to a high standard. Outside in the garden, there are wonderful views and seating areas to eat and take in the atmosphere. The swimming pool was bigger than it looked on the pictures and the photographs do not do it justice. This is the best house we have ever stayed in in France and it also suited our adult children very well. We were made very welcome and even had been left some provisions to ease our arrival. The supermarket and wine coop are very close and the small town is about 5 mins walk from the house. Thank you to Helene and Michel for making our stay very easy, Jon and Tracy

A hidden gem! We travelled as two families with small kids and could not be happier. The house is super clean with a nice sense of style and the garden is a dream with the private pool, seating areas in the shade, BBQ area, vegetables and fruit trees and even turtles and chicken to watch with the kids! The village is small but with a larger supermarché, bakery, boucherie, chocolaterie, bar/café and a fine restaurant with great food and wines: L' Instant du Sud. The pizza shop La Pizzeria Chez Roukinou is another hidden gem just five minutes walk from the house - don't miss! There was also a pizza truck on Sundays and Mondays about 1 minute from the house, that we couldn't resist :). For home cooking, the local sausages and pork at the supermarché are of excellent quality! For beautiful beaches and town life, go to Saintes Maries de la Mer half an hour away by car. Nimes and Montpellier of course and we also went to Avignon, very nice historic town. There are hundreds of wineries everywhere in the area - we especially recommend Chateau Campuget with knowledgeable staff, great wines and nice settings. Héléne and Michel are superb hosts - always there whenever we needed something and very hospitable and easy-going. They even came by with fresh vegetables and apricot jam from the garden. We will have lovely memories from our stay here and will definitely consider coming back next time we go to France. Thank you!

This is a beautiful two story apartment attached to the owners' home. The grounds are beautiful, and the pool and patio area are just outside the kitchen door. Kitchen has everything you need to cook. Michel shared his strawberries and vegetables with us, and both Helene and Michel made us feel most welcome. Lots to see in the area, but being a family vacation with unusually warm weather, we most appreciated hanging out by the pool. We heartily recommend this spot to families and friends.

We (two young families) enjoyed our stay in Génèrac very much! Michel and Hélène gave us a very warm welcome which made us feel at home right away. The house is very spacious and was equipped with everything we needed. The layout of the rooms is little different then we expected. The third room is a vide in the second one instead of a separate room which wasn't ideal for small children. But Michel and Hélène had prepared the two rooms perfectly for us to stay. As of the rest of our stay Michel and Hélène were very helpful and kind. The beautiful gated property is a joy and safe for kids who are just exploring the world. There is a lot to see from vegetable garden and fruit trees to chickens and turtles. All together we had a very pleasant stay!

Helen and Michel have been incredibly nice hosts. Friendly, supportive, thoughtful and very generous. We had a great time in their beautiful house, enjoyed the pool, the huge kitchen in which we made incredible dinners topped with fresh vegetables which Michel offered us from his garden. The gardens are great anyway and shady to spend the afternoons. Generac is a sweet little town with everything you need and not at all touristic. We enjoyed the little marked and the wineries close by. Nimes, pont du Gard, Arles and the beaches are close enough, to always have something interesting to do. We had some beautiful holidays and would love to come back for longer. Thank you very much.

Amazing house and hosts in Générac just south of Nîmes. We couldn't have wished for a better holiday. Hélène and Michel were the type of hosts that one would always strive to be to best of friends: attentive and caring. They were constantly doing small things for us to feel even more at home. The old house was immaculately and beautifully restored, had a large and well-equipped kitchen, beautiful rooms (very high ceilings!), a great little pool (for the very hot middle-of-day), and a beautiful garden with many shady spots. Générac is a perfect town for a vacation. Despite being a small town, it has three bakers, one patisserie, two butchers, the wine co-op where you fill your plastic bottles, one small market, one supermarket (also with a well-equipped butcher). Lots of great places are within 30/40 minutes drive, with few tourists (unlike much of Provence): - Nîmes (markets, roman arena, jardins du fontaine, roman temple) - Arles (beautiful town, fondation Van Gogh worth a visit) - Carmagues (go see flamingos and lots of other birds) - Pont du Gard (rent a kayak from Collias and paddle under the aquaduct) - Aigues-Mortes (pretty and fortified city on the salt marshes) We could have stayed much longer to explore the area. Instead, we will definitely be back. :)
