We are centrally located in a safe neighbourhood. Downtown, shopping, restaurants, TRU and the Trans Canada Highway access/egress points are less than 5 minutes by car (15-20 minutes by foot). Nature trail access is within a 5 minute walk.

The 2nd room (+$25) is available ONLY to the guest making the initial booking.

We are open minded, supportive and welcoming to the LGBT community.

NOTE: In this era of Covid-19, we appreciate that any Guests who book with us be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 & appreciate your consideration of this when requesting a stay.

By default WE WILL NOT prepare two rooms UNLESS 4 GUESTS show in the booking reservation.

IF YOU REQUIRE TWO ROOMS PLEASE NOTE that we have a flat $25/night fee over and above our base LISTED rate for the use of the second bedroom. PLEASE BOOK FOR 4 GUESTS if you would like 2 rooms. In doing so, this will tell us automatically that you need 2 rooms and also capture the $25 fee through the ABnB booking platform (this includes a booking with 2 guests each in a separate rooms or UP TO 4 guests spread out over the 2 rooms). If the actual number of guests arriving is less than 4, PLEASE CONFIRM the preferred sleeping arrangement (how many in each room). Additionally, the second ABnB room is available only to the guest making the original booking. We do overlap 2 separate guest bookings during the same dates, i.e. if you don't take the second room we assure you that nobody else will be in it.

As for the bedrooms, there are 2 relatively private side-by-side bedrooms. Each room has it's own a full en-suite, double bed, large screen TV. The Primary Guest room has a small table and snack prep area; (coffee pot, hot water pot, toaster, and basic utensils (bowls, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery). A small (very small 0.9 cuF) beverage fridge and compact microwave are also available for guest use in the adjacent Rec room .

For Guest use, we provide a HiSpeed WiFi network, Comprehensive HD Cable TV (Network, Specialty and Movies) & a Roku Box for Netflix access. Wi-Fi Network and password are posted in the Primary Guest room. We also have a ping-pong table that guests are also welcome to use. It can be troublesome to raise/lower but if you give us a heads up we can set it up for you or give you the run-down on doing it yourself.

We are very much dog friendly. Unfortunately we no longer have our own but are willing to shower affection on yours. A couple of things though if you are bringing your furry friends. We have carpet throughout our basement so ask that your pups be FULLY house trained. We also have a HARD RULE that pets are NOT allowed access to the beds. Experience has proven that it is an almost impossible task to remove ALL the pet hair out of bedding without spending more time than we typically have in a day :) .

We generally live in a safe neighbourhood but as with any urban area, there are a few bad eggs. These "eggs" are mostly handle lifters looking for unlocked vehicles or crimes of opportunity. Please bring your valuables in the house with you, especially expensive mountain bikes (preferably clean if storing in the basement otherwise we can provide a garage code for you) and lock your vehicle doors during your stay. DO NOT leave valuables in your car or even moderately desirable items (i.e. a loose piece of paper or pack of gum) sitting in plain site in your vehicle.... especially on your dash or front seat.

Guests can always contact us via email or SMS text at anytime prior to, or during your visit. If we are around the house we will always make ourselves available to guests to assist with arrival, chat, provide local insight or help you out with any other needs you might have.

We have had a few mixed reviews with respect to our location but we also feel location is relative to guest expectations.

Kamloops itself, is quite hilly and spread out over a vast area. It is not NOT a very walk-able or cycle-able city and most use a vehicle to get from point A to Point B, regardless of where they live in the City. That said, many eateries and almost all our day-to-day needs are available within a 15 minute walk of our house.

Our home is centrally located in a safe, quiet neighbourhood and easily accessible (by Kamloops standards) to desirable destinations within and around the City.

Our home is located a mere 3 minute driving detour off the Trans-Canada Highway traveling either East or West. The Kamloops Airport is a 15-20 minute drive. Downtown Kamloops, a plethora of Restaurants/Pubs, Shopping, Brew Pubs (3), and TRU (University) are all within a 5-25 minute walk . Vehicular access to all of these amenities is less than 5 minutes. Nature/walking trails for running, hiking and biking can be accessed virtually right outside our front door.

For those in Kamloops for sporting events, and with a vehicle; the Tournament Capital athletic facilities are respectively: 5 minutes to the TCC (Hillside Stadium/Canada Games Pool); 10-15 minutes to McArthur Island (Ice Rink, Soccer and Baseball) and 12-15 Minutes to the Tournament Capital Ranch (Slo-Pitch).

Most other non-motorized or motorized recreational activities and additional trail networks are within an easy 5-45 minute drive. i.e. Camping, Golf, Ski (DH/XC)/Board, Boat, Paddle (Lake or Whitewater), Fish, Zip-line, Beach, ORV, Sledding.

I'm Chris and my sidekick is wife Tara when we are in travel mode staying as guests in other ABnBs. Together we co-host our own listing within our home.

Tara and I both spent a number of months (in my case years) budget backpacking/hostelling round the world in our younger years, enjoying meeting people from all over. As we got older, settled and more appreciative of a proper bed to sleep in, we discovered ABnB as a much less sterile form of travel than a hotel room.

Our kids have grown and and "flown", and we found ourselves with more space and home than we needed, so we decided to try out the hosting side of ABnB Hosts by re-purposing our unused space for guests.

We feel we live in a great community and are happy to share it with passer-by. We are both "relocates" to the BC interior (est. 1992), and immensely enjoy the lifestyle, "small town feel", and the many opportunities and amenities Kamloops and area has to offer.

We are avid runners and skiers (DH & XC) and enjoy getting outside, hitting the trails and slopes, or taking the dogs for a SUP paddle on the Thompson Rivers or numerous other nearby lakes when not tied down by our jobs.

We take advantage of the local art and music scene and enjoy hanging out at the local coffee bars, casual funky eating spots and ever expanding brewpub scene in Kamloops.

When in "Travel Mode" we enjoy experiencing much of the same in a different locale. We are more than happy, and look forward to sharing "The Best Of" with our guests or discovering "the Best of" from our hosts.
