Anne was very good host. Communication was always quick and clear. She even checked to make sure the good boulangerie would be open in August! Apartment is exactly as described, and the place is an awesome deal. We wanted a lot of space and we got it. It's also a family home, so it was great for us, meaning: lots of toys and books (and bunk beds) for kids, but good separation between the rooms so the adults can stay up without waking up junior. The location is good and central; close to lots of restaurants and walking distance to lots of the sights. The metro is right out the door, and the view of the arch out the window is classic. They have renovated the place very nicely, we liked all the finishes. As the other reviews have noted, this is a neighborhood in transition, so there are some sketchy characters on the street. We had zero problems though, and it’s just a colorful part of the experience. Overall, Anne’s apartment is an awesome find: Great location, lots of space, a great, very Parisian view, and a sweet price.

Communications: Excellent communications with Anne both before and during our stay. Apartment Handover: whilst Anne could not be present, Anne’s friend Joy met us on arrival (thank you Joy once again for waiting longer than expected given the delayed arrival by our flight) and, had cleaned the apartment by the time we arrived. Clean towels also provided. Accuracy of Description: we found the apartment to be exactly as described. Comfort, Ambience and Size of Apartment: we found the apartment to be modern, comfortable and, a very good size (we were a party of 2 adults and three children). Wi-Fi: made available to us (popular with kids given the Pokemon Go craze!) and, found to be reliable. Transport Links: Excellent as Strasbourg – Saint-Denis Metro station is just outside apartment which was very convenient and, thus travel around Paris was with relative ease (though Metro like any underground service can get crowded in peak hours). CDG by Taxi took us circa 45 mins for arrival and 35 minutes for departure door to door. Relative Location: the relatively central location in conjunction with ease of access to the Metro greatly helps with travel around Paris. Basics / Food Shopping: MONOEXPRESS Supermarket is a very short walk to the right of apartment on Boulevard Saint-Denis and, Lidl (great for Milk, Bread etc) just a five minute walk away on Boulevard de Strasbourg. Be aware of: as Anne pointed out in her description some prostitutes seen, however, they were discreet and did not cause us any issues or problems. The street outside is busy and it can get noisy, however, with the windows closed the noise was found to be extremely well screened out to the point of near silence - though we actually left them open at night as it was quite warm weather. Overall: we had a wonderful stay in Anne’s apartment and, would highly recommend. In fact we would love to stay there again in the future subject of course to availability.

Although Anne was unable to meet us on arrival she took care to ensure there were no problems for us before and during the stay. The apartment was well described and perfect for our needs- we would happily have stayed long I we'd had the opportunity. Very happy with every aspect of the apartment, the description, the location and the stay as a whole. Merci Anne et votre famille!

The communication with Anne was very fluid and friendly since first moment. She helped us answering a lot of doubts about our travel in Paris and gave us information about transports and more... It was a Pity that we had not possibility to know Anne and her family, but her house keeper Charlene attended to us in our arrival explaining all the basics things. The apartment has all the necessary to cook and make your life.. Even she provide us toys for the childrens. It looks very nice, exactly as in the pictures, and it is very comfortable and trendy. The subway station just in the exit of the building helps to visit Paris, it is a luxury to have it there. We are really grateful to Anne and her family.. Thank you very much!! We enjoyed a lot in your home!! Merci!!

The communication in advance was very friendly and the response was within the hour. She made us feel very welcome, was very flexible and gave detailed information. A metro station at the frontdoor and centrally located to all the great sightseeing spots in Paris. The appartment is modern and everything we needed was available. Next time we go to Paris we really want o stay here again!

The apartment was lovely spacious and well equipped. This is our first Airbnb experience and I knew it would be fine as Anne was great at communicating and made me feel quite relaxed about the whole set up. We were met by Anne's friend Charlene who was helpful and had the apartment all ready for us. She showed us around and pointed out the instructions to make our stay easy. There are a number of books about Paris and what to do which were interesting. There is a super market at the bottom of the stairs and a bakery across the road which was our breakfast stop. Also there is a taxi rank just round the corner which was great for our departure as there were taxis available all the time. The apartment has a great location as it is a few steps away from the Metro, so travel around town is easy. We bought a hop on hop off bus tour which also passed our door which was fun. I was travelling with 3 children who loved the home and did enjoy the bunk beds. The area is interesting with the Arc Saint Denis the main view from the window. There were perhaps a few unsavoury characters around the arc at night but it wasn't a problem to us just part of life in a city. Watch out at the Metro for scammers they nearly had us as they even had passes round their necks to suggest they were there to help! Only buy from the ticket stands. All in all it was a great place to stay, Anne is great at communication and will get back to you very quickly if you need her help. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I were coming back any time I would be checking out this apartments availability. Thanks so much for the use of your home Anne.

I am French and I've been living in Paris for about 15 years. I share my life with Chris, we are both 37 and have together 3 daughters. We both work in Paris: I work for a train manufacturer and Chris for a luxury fashion company.
We always travel with the children, so most of the time, we look for kids-friendly place. Girls are very respectfull and are keen to share their toys as well if you stay at our home.
