Charming apartment in an old brick building. Plenty of on street parking. Original plank flooring, exposed interior brick. Filled with antiques and tranquil charm. Perfect for a comfortable, business stay, university visits or to explore the capital region. Nice, newer bathroom, incredibly comfortable queen sized bed. Space accommodates 2. The apartment is on the small side, and the bathroom requires walking through the bedroom, so keep in mind how close you want to be to those you are traveling with! UNFORTUNATELY, NO PETS, NO CHILDREN DUE TO SPACE AND SAFETY CONSTRAINTS :) I do require my guests to fully complete the Airbnb identity verification before accepting reservations.
Back porch and storage are off limits, please. I don't have a television in the apartment, just wireless internet which you are welcome to utilize.
Interaction with guests
Once you get the keys, you can have the place to yourself. If you need a ride or a guide, I might be able to help out, depending on how much work I have to do.
Other things to note
I have a cat, he will not be present during your stay. I keep a very clean place as I have allergies, but if you are severely allergic to cats, this may not work for you. I don't have a television, so if you are addicted to TV you will be taking a break from that. I do, of course, have wifi though!
I expect you to treat my place and neighbors with respect. No all night parties, no smoking of any kind. I expect you to leave it as you found it and follow the golden rule.
I am recently self employed as a website developer/search marketing specialist after many years of working for corporations and companies. I'm hoping that this change allows me the freedom to travel and enjoy life to the fullest.
I am a passionate activist for local living economies, buying and sourcing locally to preserve and grow our communities and have served as the President of our regional Local First group for many years. I've tried to give up the reigns many times, but I'm the only one who can get over their fears of public speaking enough to be the face and mouthpiece of the group in TV, radio and in print :)
I may give you a little tease if you only shop at Walmart and eat at chain restaurants, but only in a friendly way, I promise! I'm in no way judgmental, but I do offer my knowledge on the subject when it comes up.
As a guest, I'm an easy going, peaceful person. I don't expect the Ritz on $20 a day, but do need a clean space and a bed that won't bite me with a spring! I'm very neat and clean and expect the same from others.
As a host, of course, I will provide you with warm hospitality, ideas on where the locals go, and of course some delicious goodies from our award winning local bakery. Since I'm in a transitional time in my life, I want to enjoy the experience of meeting new people and expanding my knowledge and understanding of the world.
Looking forward to connecting with you!
