Nice, large house in the heart of Toronto. Riverdale/Danforth neighborhood, less than 5 min walk from subway stop, and main street. Walk to cafes, pubs, restos, groceries, parks. Near downtown too. Fully furnished, kid friendly, nice place to be.
Our home is a nice old Toronto house. It's a century old, with creaky wooden floors, and lots of stairs. The kitchen is ready for cooking, the neighborhood is ready for you to explore.
We try to be very hospitable with our things--full kitchen, linens, some toiletries, wi-fi, local phone, a bike or two, games, etc. We ask that guests respect our belongings.
Interaction with guests
None--we are not staying here at the same time.
Other things to note
We're not fancy people. We spend our time and our incomes on our kids. The garden is not well groomed, the carpets are not new, the house has personal items everywhere. You're staying in a family home, not a hotel. But we are proud of our house and we hope that you enjoy it too.
Please be respectful of our things, and kindly replace some of what you use.
We're a family of four: husband, wife, 2 girls (11 and 6 years old). We fit right into this kid-filled, family-friendly, relaxed neighborhood. The vibe here is easy-going and educated, liberal and local. Like us, this 'hood is about walking to the shop to get some fresh groceries, buying too many books, drinking too much coffee. It's about buying local. It's a pretty affluent place, but no one flaunts it. We're originally from California, but in many ways feel more at home here in Canada.
