Tanja was a great host: she waited for us in the room to check-in, asked her husband to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, and even prepared juice and wine as gifts to welcome us! She also replied in a very timely manner, whether it's a question about where the stuff is, or where should we meet her husband :) The only thing I wish I had known earlier is that the bathroom is really small, only for one person at a time, and that you don't get to change towels every day, which we'd really like as we went on the sea kayaking tour. Overall, Tanja is very helpful and responsive! And the location is definitely great, in the middle of the old town.
The apartment is located inside the old town, that is magical. Despite it's the old town, the apartment seemed nearly remodeled. Everything was clean with trendy furniture. Cars do not go inside the OT, so if you have big suitcases you should consider a 5 minute walk to the apartment with long stairs. But, luggage is not an excuse, the place couldn't be better. Thanks Tanja!
We stayed in Tanja's apartment for 5 nights. The location is superb. It is in the heart of the Old Town - a few steps from one of the two main shopping streets. It is such a beautiful location - although many people walk up the steps because of the beauty of the street, it is quiet and peaceful at night. During the day you can from time to time see and hear the local people chatting on the steps, hanging up their washing and going about life. The apartment is smaller than all the others we stayed in during our 3 week Croatian holiday. But it didn't bother us at all. The two teens slept on the sleeper couch without any complaints. There is a wonderful view of Fort Minceta and the City Walls as well as Mt. Srd from the living room. During a hot and busy summers's day the apartment was like an oasis when we left the busy streets to relax in the cool apartment. Tanja was a very kind and efficient host. She communicated very well and fast. She allowed us to leave our luggage in the flat before checkin and she treated us with some juice and a huge chocolate slab. We could also leave our luggage safely after check out - before our evening flight. She also offered us a transfer to the airport by her very kind and informative husband. It was only slighty more expensive than the bus, which would have been much more trouble, very hot and quite frustrating. The buses get full very quickly and then many people have to stand. With Tanja's husband we were driven in the luxury of a large car with aircon. He was like a tour guide - he told us many interesting things along the way. To top it all he handed me a gift from Tanja when he took us to the airport. A very beautiful jewellery box which he made from stone himself! This is a precious reminder of our wonderful time in Dubrovnik. Thank you Tanja and Miho for being such amazing ambassadors for Dubrovnik! Hope to see you again in future!
Tanja's place was in an absolutely perfect location and was also very quiet even though it was right in the old town. It was very clean and the bed was very comfy. The only thing we struggled with was the shower. It was just a hand held shower head, not a proper shower head which made aimed straight at your face so you couldn't actually use it as a shower. Also it would've been nice to have more of a quilt or a blanket as it got quite cold at night with just a sheet and a throw. Apart from that the WiFi was great, very fast. The place was very clean and Tanja was very helpful and very friendly. The views from the place were also beautiful! Thank you again Tanja!
