Hello Travelers, Brace yourelf.  This is long.  I'll start out with the good about the apartment.  The neighborhood is fantastic.  The restaurant La Bascule down the street was recommend by a tour guide and we were fortunate enough to be down the street!  Darya is very prompt and nice via the AirBnB App.  I asked for a fan in case it got hot and she had it in the apartment ready to go for us.  The building is old and charming as is the cobble stoned street.  Of course the price is very attractive, BUT you get what you pay for. Now on to the not so good points.  When I first booked this home 9 months ago, the apartment was owned and run by a man named Pascale and his father.  I found the reviews on the father son team very attractive as well as the home being touted as family friendly.  Many reviews mention this and even discuss the toys in the closet.  Since my booking, Darya has taken over, which is fine, just not the warm Parisienne welcome I was expecting after reading the reviews.  She didn't check in on us after or right before check in  That being said, she is very good via the app, so when I mentioned we were on our way out, she responded immediately.  BUT, that's not what I signed up for. Based on the reviews from my tmie of booking (November 2016) I was expecting a personal and warm reception.  There are also no longer toys int he closet.  I was traveling with my two year old so little things like this can help when we're hunkered down in the apartment or resting.   Now on to the actual apartment.  It was clean, but dingy and a bit in disrepair.  There is paint coming off the walls in the bathroom (quite a bit)  and kitchen, wall paper coming off the walls and the walls in the living room are dirty likely from people resting against the walls.  The sheets were clean, but a of black sheets on the futon had some white stains on it, which I just kept telling myself were permanent.  The blanket that was put on the futon was a twin whilst the futon was a double size futon.  the sheets in general were a little thin and shabby.   To add to all that, it is very bare, which is fine, but it just feels sad.  There is no love in this apartment.   Honestly, if she put 500 euro into this place and hung a couple photos and some curtains, it'd be lovely.  Oh, wait, the microwave was dirty .  Really dirty.   The bedroom is fine except for a little peeling wallpaper, but also very bare. We had to buy hand soap because the bathroom didn't have any.  Also, there is no toilet roll holder so you have to rest it on the sink, which can make for wet toilet paper.  Again, clean (save...

Was okay for two people or small family. Not for two couples. Read her description well. One room and one bed in living room. Not two rooms.

This apartment was very well located. Only a short walk from the metro station and situated near some nice restaurants and bakeries. We appreciated the great communication with our host!

Great little apartment, superb location, minutes walk from restaurants, shops, bars. Very comfortable beds, just what we needed after sight seeing and much walking for a few days. Thank you Darya!

Too noisy.. Too noisy.. Too noisy.. there are so many people drinking chit chatting and even fighting downstairs.. Overall the property itself is quite good for its price.

Darya was a really good host, she was available at all times and answered all of messages really quickly with great details. She was also very accomodating to our needs that were outside of the arrangement, she tried to help us as much as possible. She sent us directions on how to get to the house from the airport and also how to get the keys to open the door etc. All of the directions and tips were very helpful and in great detail. The house is located near 2 metro lines as stated in the description. The neighbourhood is really nice with cool cafes and bars. It's really close to Moulin Rouge as well as Sacre Coeur. It's lively both during the day and at night. Even though it was lively, it wasn't too noisy- the apartment is directly facing a street with easy access to cafes, bars and shops. The apartment is a 5 minute walking distance from the metro. We were two women travelling and we always felt safe going in and out at all hours. The apartment is pretty minimal but for 2 people it was big enough especially for a couple of nights. Maybe not as suitable for a family since the kitchen and the bathroom are really small. If you're a traveller who spends very little time in the apartment and most of the time outside exploring the city, then this is a very strategic choice both in terms of location and in terms of the comfort of the house for the price you pay.
