Description

The space

Beautiful open, sunny, wooden floored home.

Guest access

Double ensuite bedroom, kitchen, sunroom, wireless internet, easy accessibility to shops, restaurants, artist's studios, beach, mountain and train station.

Interaction with guests

I live in the house and my studio is based here, so I am around a lot of the time and happy to share knowledge on the area and advise on activities if wanted.

The neighbourhood

I love that the ocean and the mountain are both on our doorstep.

I love that I can walk down the road in the morning and find amazing coffee, freshly baked artisan bread, pass a multitude of working artists studios, and have five interesting conversations with passing bicycling, skateboarding, walking friendly faces before I have even had breakfast.

There is a sense of community here and an abundance of creativity that is incredibly inspiring and refreshing to be around.

Getting around

We are across the road from False Bay train station and are on Main Road which is easy to access off the two main arteries from the city center South, the M3 and the M5. If unfamiliar with Cape Town roads, the M3 is a more direct route off the N2 from the airport.
There is street parking on St Hellier Road, which is the road that the house entrance is on.

Other things to note

We are on the second story of a double story house and access is by stairs.

Staying in the flat of Theresa was great. Room was all it needed including a fridge. The attached bathroom was perfect including all there is needed including enough toiletpaper and towels. I stayed there for two weeks and the train station just very near by you are in the middle of capetown within 40 min. Theresa is very nice and full of tips.

Theressa was very friendly and welcoming. She flexible about the checkin and checkout times. The house was clean and relaxing with the plants and the decor inside. It has a communal vibe about it with friends and family visiting often and provides a great spirit.

Everything has been said in the previous reviews. Theresa makes you feel at home right away. Staying at Theresa's was a fantastic experience. She is totally right when she wrote: "This is not a hotel, this is not a B&B, this is an opportunity to stay in a home as part of the wonderful community that is Muizenberg." Thanks for everything Theresa! :)

I felt very welcome and can highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place. Muizenberg and around is just amazing. It´s just a 5min walk to the surfers corner to explore coffee and surfing. It was pure holiday for me at this place.

Hands down the best Air Bnb I have ever been a part of. I was lucky to stay with Theresa my first month in Cape Town starting my new life and I couldn't have been luckier to land in such a neat and tranquil place. I will never forget my first home in Cape Town because of it, I made not only friendships but family that I will cherish forever. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your beautiful home Theresa, you helped me so much .

A nice property just a short walk from nature walks and a surf beach. The traffic is a little loud as the bedroom is off a busy street but it quiets down at night.

Theresa User ProfileTheresa is a superhost.

I am a creative, playful, explorer. I work from home as a graphic design freelancer. Involved in community projects aimed at the general improvement of Muizenberg as a community and making things happen for ourselves.

I love the Mountain and Ocean that I live between.I love my home and meeting interesting people - that's why I'd like to share it with you. I love food from beginning to end: sowing to reaping to eating:)

When I travel I make a concerted effort to get as local a connection as possible to the place I am staying in ie: staying with locals in their homes and getting the inside story of the place.
