Becca, we truly are so sorry that you, one of our very first guests, did not feel as relaxed and rejuvenated as we hoped that you would. We really invested so much time, energy, thought, and care into creating the perfect space for our guests. We hoped that this would have been enjoyed throughout your stay and reflected in our first review! I would like to comment on a few points made in this review. The quilt in one of the bedrooms was ruined from multiple blood stain (photo documented in the resolution center that we both saw). The woman from the cleaning service who came after your stay said that it appeared as though the quilt had already been washed. However, you have to treat a blood stain before washing it to get it out. By washing it without treating it, the stain was made permanent. The quilt was bleached, soaked in peroxide, and every other trick in the book, but unfortunately the stain would not lift. I did not want to charge you for the cost of the quilt, but after we finally accepted that the stain would not come out, then we bought a new one. The photo of the receipt that I uploaded showed the amount that we paid. Trust me that if I would have found the quilt for $60 I would have certainly bought it for that price! I do not understand why it left a bad taste in your mouth when you were simply covering the cost of something that you (or one of the guests included in the reservation) damaged permanently.
After your stay, I asked you for any recommendations that you had for us to improve the stay for future guests. You made the same point in that conversation about having notification that there was another guest on the property. We really appreciate that feedback and have added it to the description of our listing. However, I must mention that that information was given to you in the welcome message one day prior to your arrival, therefore, this information was disclosed to you. You mentioned that the guest was quiet, but he was not there at all during your stay. Actually, in regards to the 3 Bungalows, there is the main house that you rented, the guest house which we just discussed, and the third is a storage structure.
We do have basic cooking utensils. For future guests, I will list exactly what we have to avoid any future miscommunication. Here is everything that we have which I think is actually more than basic cooking utensils: 4 sets of 5 piece silverware with both large and small spoons and forks, 4 salad plates, 4 plates, 4 glasses, 4 coffee cups, 4 bowels. One new frying pan with lid, one new saucepan with lid, one new large pot with lid. Salad severing utensils, 2 large knifes, bottle openers, can opener, cutting board, pie knife, pie serving utensil, soup ladle and strainer. New coffee maker, new toaster, organic honey, raw sugar, biscotti, and 2 other bags of cookies, multiple types of tea, and creamer for coffee. Trying to make your stay as nice as possible! In regards to the oil, I would have told you that we did not have that if you asked as it is not a utensil. There were extra paper towels under the sink in the kitchen and extra toilet paper under the sink in the bathroom. In regards to your comment about the drool, no need to worry! We have pillow protectors! Additionally, there is a very large difference between a blood stained quilt and drool on a pillow. We really do wish that your stay and this whole experience had gone better and wish you the best of luck in all future Airbnb experiences!
