About this listing

Our house is the perfect place to stay in Fort Worth. Walking distance to multiple museums, UNT Health Science Center, Botanical Gardens and more. Minutes from downtown and West 7th district - ideal for vacation and business travelers alike.

The space

We have a lovely 3 bedroom house in the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Fort Worth. Originally built in the 1950s, our home has a cozy feel and nice backyard patio that we love to share with guests.

We are conveniently located off I-30 within walking distance to the Will Rogers Coliseum (Fort Worth rodeo) and the museum district (Modern, Amon Carter, Kimbell, Science & History). It is about a 5 minute drive to downtown, West 7th area (night life, restaurants), the Historic Stockyards, downtown, hip Southside, TCU, Colonial and more. We are a short drive to Cowboy Stadium, Rangers Ballpark, Arlington, DFW airport and Dallas.

Guests have a private bedroom and guest bathroom in the hall right outside the room. We have central AC/Heat, free wi-fi and in-house washer/dryer. We have a nice open kitchen if you like to cook.

We have a French Press for making coffee, a very happy yellow kettle for a cup of tea, and homemade muffins for breakfast.

If my husband and I are free, we are happy to show our guests around or recommend activities, eateries, etc.

We are very close to the cultural district so there is sure to be a great exhibit to see, a few that are always free, such as those at the Amon Carter Museum.

For foodies, we are close to a great array of restaurants and just minutes from Central Market for gourmet ingredients, handcrafted brews available by the growler, and even a culinary school if you feel like taking a cooking class during your stay!

There's something for everyone in Fort Worth, and we're happy to connect you with what you're interested in!

Quiet and low traffic, our neighborhood is filled with houses mostly from the 1950s. We have friendly neighbors and are close to some fun local places - one block from a wonderful vending nut company (yummy snacks!), as well as just down the street from an English-style pub.
There is a park and community center (with gym) in the neighborhood and a school with a track, basketball courts and exercise circuit just a couple blocks away.
Public transportation is close, with a bus stop that is a few blocks away, and we're happy to lend a bicycle to anyone looking to check out the area on bike.

We are located near 2 bus routes, but by car is still easiest.
2 bikes available (one male size, one female size) if you'd like to cruise around - particularly to ride to the nearby museums.

We have a nice stone patio in the back that's lovely for a meal or glass of wine when the weather is nice.

Carolyn was absolutely sweet to me - my husband couldn't travel at the last minute so I was on my own. The house and room were very nice and I walked to Taco Heads for my dinner and the next day I walked to the museum area - all within 15-20 minutes walk. I discovered the Morris Boot company on my way - one of the very few craftsmen left who handmake amazing boots and belts in a tiny workshop. Definitely a convenient place to stay for the Cultural District. I did not venture further! Everyone I met was super polite and helpful.

This was a nice room in a nice house in a nice street. Carolyn and Wiley were nice. There were nice touches like coffee and tele and comfy couches. It was overall nice and I would recommend their place if you want to stay around close to the cultural precinct of FW. Nice.

Carolyn was a wonderful host, and the place was beautiful! The room was clean, and then bed was comfortable. Carolyn was kind, warm, and welcoming. She allowed us to use the kitchen and family room at our will. She gave great recommendations for eating places. We can't wait to return to Fort Worth and stay with Carolyn again!

It is a good place to stay close to downtown (an ~8$ Uber ride away, can even take bus to downtown if you plan ahead and well). Carolyn is a cheerful person who made me feel welcome. It was my first Airbnb experience, but it worked out well as it fit my requirements well.

A nice couple with an extra, homey room. Nothing crazy or fancy, just straightforward and simple quality. Would go again.

We had such a great stay while in Fort Worth for a convention. Every Uber ride was about $6.50 no matter where we wanted to go locally. Wiley and Carolyn were so informative and helpful in guiding us to places we'd like to go. Super happy with our stay! Thank you Carolyn and Wiley <3
