The space
The Old Byre was formally a cow shed (hence the name). Its spacious yet cosy and will make you feel 'at home'. Set in an elevated, south facing position where you can wake to a glorious view over the Cornish valley and fields beyond. With its stunning views, woodland, river and lakeside walks nearby this is the most idyllic spot to relax and unwind.

The Old Byre comfortably sleeps 5. The bedrooms are 2x doubles and 1x single room and also a bed for your four legged friend. Located adjacent to the owners property and next to our other 4 guest holiday barn (The "Moo"tel) this comfortable and homely conversion has its own private fully enclosed garden to the front of the property with bbq and seating area with views over the surrounding countryside and fields (and our 5 resident horses). There is one bathroom with shower/bath, a spacious kitchen/diner and a large but cosy lounge with wood burning stove.
Dog are extremely welcome. We just ask that we are informed at the time of booking. We also ask for £15 for up to 2 dogs (more dogs welcome at prior arrangement) to be left on the dining room table before check out

Eco friendly wood fired hot tub! A gorgeous way to spend a few hours, by day or under the stars. We will light the stove and get the hot tub ready for you at a pre-arranged time. To book the hot tub message us at the time of booking to check availability as the hot tub area is shared between The Mootel and The Olde Byre on a first come first served basis, the price is NOT included in the barn rental price. The hot tub is £50 per use this includes all the logs, kindling and fire lighters needed to heat it and use of robes and slippers and a bottle of something to enjoy whilst your gazing at the stars.
The Old Byre is the ideal base for exploring the whole of Cornwall with a host of nearby sandy beaches such as Perranporth, Hollywell bay, Lusty Glaze, Crantock and many more. Cornish villages and towns including Fowey, Port Issac (The home of Doc Martin), The fishing town of Looe, Charlestown and Padstow. Also nearby is Bodmin Moor and St Breward the land of famous Poldark. The famous Eden project is only a 29 minute drive and is well worth a day out. There are many local walks including Cardinham woods and Cafe, Respryn, Lanhydrock, Golitha Falls, Siblyback and Colliford lake and thats just to name a few.

As you can imagine The Olde Byre is in the heart of the Cornish countryside and mobile phone signal can be a bit hit and miss depending on your provider, which is ideal if you want to get away from it all. We do provide WiFi which again can be a bit sketchy and not super fast, which complements the slow pace of life that Cornwall has to offer but is more than adequate for day to day use.
