Lilac Cottage is a delightful stone built, Grade II listed terraced property, dating back to the 18th century. Located in the heart of the Peak District village of Earl Sterndale, it is a cottage in the true sense of the word, retaining wonderful features, character and charm. Downstairs the kitchen has fabulous quarry tiled flooring, a beamed ceiling, exposed stone and a wood burner. The living room has a superb open fire, and in the bathroom, a roll-top, claw foot bath takes pride of place.
The space
Ground Floor:
Living room: With open fire, Smart TV, DVD player and beams.
Kitchen/dining room: With wood burner, electric cooker, beams and tiled floor.
Utility room: With microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and Smart TV.
Bedroom 2: With double bed and Smart TV.
Bathroom: With shower over roll-top bath, and toilet.
Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Enclosed courtyard with sitting out area and garden furniture. Bike store. On road parking.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, but there is an extra charge. (£25 per dog, maximum 2 dogs). Please contact Hazel for details.

Earl Sterndale is an un-spoilt village surrounded by hills, dales and some of the most picturesque countryside in the Peak District National Park. It is home to a traditional local pub, with the village of Longnor just down the road, providing a café, fish and chip shop and two more local pubs, all set round a quaint cobbled market square.
The spa town of Buxton is just 15 minutes away, and the ever popular market town of Bakewell, home to Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, can be reached in around half an hour. Other Peak District towns and villages within easy reach include Castleton, Hathersage and Tideswell, making the location a perfect touring base. Shop 2¼ miles, pub 175 yards and restaurant 1½ miles.
