The space
Glad you found me, and welcome to Home Free, guest-described as "better than advertised!"

Property is only half a mile from expansive state beaches with easy access from Highway One and the California Coastal Trail, and only 1.5 miles north of quaint, tree-lined downtown Main Street in Half Moon Bay, home of the famous Pumpkin Festival in October. Pillar Point Harbor is just three miles to the north, where you can buy fresh fish directly from boats. Hike the rugged Montara Mountain trails for spectacular ocean views (15 minutes north) or the secluded redwood forest and creek trails at Purisima Creek Open Space Preserve (15 minutes south). Drive along the incredibly scenic cliffs along Highway One to San Francisco or south to Santa Cruz, or along Highway 92 east to Silicon Valley, all within an hour's drive.

On-site, very quiet host is nearly invisible unless you need something, and uses separate, out-of-sight private entrance to garage studio. Host uses outdoor shower and tends the garden but avoids being in guest's space.

This is a legit listing with a business license and your 12% Transient Occupancy Tax included in the fees contribute to police, fire, and other emergency services on your behalf on the Coastside.

Drift off to sleep listening to the faint, soothing Pillar Point Harbor foghorn three miles away in some of the best sleeping weather on the planet. Snuggle into high-quality hotel bedding under down comforters. Wake up feeling like a champ after a restful sleep on premier eco-certified mattresses from European Sleep Works in Berkeley designed to eliminate motion transfer between you and your partner. Step onto the therapeutic luxury of a radiant-heated bathroom floor under your bare feet. Enjoy birds (lots of them) singing and bathing in the stone garden fountain, and watch the sun rise over the natural skyline as you enjoy complimentary gourmet local Mountanos dark roast (and decaf) coffee and tea.

Relax on oversized Turkish cotton beach towels on vast and uncrowded white sand beaches. Enjoy a hot shower under the sun or stars in the private backyard outdoor shower structure. Create masterpiece meals or simple delicious picnics on the outdoor gas barbeque or in the completely fully-stocked, sparkling clean kitchen. For dining, choose the indoor glass dining table or outdoor teak table for dining; both easily accommodate six adults. A granite breakfast bar provides seating for two more adults, or enjoy meals around the fire table on the long couches, rocking chairs, or other ample seating options.

Lounge outside on couches by the fire table, wrapped in soft blankets in the cool coastal evenings after the outdoor party lights illuminate. Enjoy total privacy from the street and neighbors behind fences, gates, and front hedge. Or cozy up inside to the flickering flames and warmth from the indoor gas fireplace on the oversized down-filled couch and leather recliners. Enjoy inside or outside...or both!

Commandeer a super sharp, Samsung 60" 4K TV with all your favorite streaming services through Apple TV (free Netflix on my account, HBO, Prime, Hulu, etc on yours).

Please read my five-star reviews for details, and thanks again!

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire house, patios, and garden areas, including these outdoor amenities: hot water shower, fire table, gas barbeque, and clothesline. Combination washer/dryer are inside the house. Outdoor clothesline is also available to guests. There is ample parking on level street in front of house; the driveway is for the owner's use only. An ice cream truck cruises through the neighborhood on some afternoons if you're lucky.

Other things to note
It's a quiet neighborhood with lots of kids, so drive slow and quiet time is at 9pm.
Also, the native garden and fountain is intended to attract many visiting local and migratory birds. Children are welcome to stay, but please do not allow them outside unsupervised. The fountain and water saucers are especially attractive to children who love throwing stones into them, and they are easily broken.

The neighborhood, known as Seahaven, is quiet and the residents are friendly. Many work from home, or are raising families and are present during the day. Nights in Seahaven are very quiet by 8 pm. Many residents walk themselves or their dogs around the sidewalks, or cross Highway One to access the Coastal Trail one-half mile away. San Francisco is about a 40-minute drive north along the Coast Highway (Highway One).
