This house is in a great location - right on the beach, and within walking distance of the cafes and restaurants of San Vito Lo Capo. Were it priced more favorably (or available for rental at less than the 7 nights' minimum), I would have rated it 5 stars.
There were quite a number of "pillbugs" in the house. My children made a game of collecting and comparing them. We had ants in the kitchen every evening. Both shower drains were clogged (we had to go buy de-clogging chemical at the store). The toilet seats in both bathrooms were broken upon our arrival, and the upstairs shower head was non-functioning. Francesco was very helpful and came to fix the shower head on our third day in the house.
The price seems very high (particularly given the 7 day minimum) for the off-season. The house itself was nice enough, although minimally furnished with old furniture and mattresses. It rained for two days while we were there, and there was no heat - only a stack of wet firewood to keep ourselves warm. Towels & sheets not included (15 Euro per person extra charged if you want this). We also brought our own blankets, which was fortunate during the rainy nights (as the house was unheated).
In the end, you're paying for the location. You are right on the beach, just at the edge of town. The garden of the house is very nice - well kept and recently updated (new lighting in the garden, a new outdoor shower, new patio furniture). Overall, it was a lovely holiday. The price just seemed a bit too high given the low season and the spartan nature of the furnishings.
